Apparently its shown that you cannot handle money perfectly. You still argue and once again fail to see what your problem is. If I want to make a purchase, and my money is refunded, that means I'm supposed to be happy? I did not meet the goals that I sought to complete at the beginning of my transaction, what is there to be happy about? Everything is back to square 1, you lost more reputation than you wanted to gain and you think we're "bitching"? That is exactly the 14 year old attitude and choice of words that make people not trust you. I was worse when I was 14 and you will be just as "bitching" as we are when you understand why 2-3 threads later we are still wondering what the hell is going on with the diodes. A couple of adults frustrated over $1000 put towards what turns out to be a little 14 year old who ends up refunding the money for products he claims he can sell is not "bitching".

Bitching is complaining why my diodes aren't are powerful as I thought. Bitching is complaining about why my eggs are overcooked. Bitching is telling people who you made false claims to to go pay more money elsewhere because you couldn't handle the job. Understand that your choice of words is incorrect and know that we don't want to pay more money elsewhere, so you telling us that re-iterates nothing. You have more to gain than to lose Wes, understanding the subject from our eyes will help you connect to the customer more, and understand why these dumb adults are getting mad will definitely help you become a beloved seller here (if that is a goal of yours, which it seems to be). Think about it.

& Please tell me what real company allows 14 year olds to hold legal non-prepaid mommy&daddy-watching-over credit cards under their own names and I will sign up my sons for one as well.

I'm Arguing because y'all don't understand wtf im going through. Nobody lost any money, and rep and thing but me which was i lost rep. IT WAS MY FIRST GB DAMMIT ! Who the hell does everything perfect the first time ? Not one human is going to do it right the first time, its called Trial and error. I and others Will make mistakes, but us younger ones will make them more often then some adult.
I tried to do a gb, and i made alot of errors. So i learned from the errors i had made and fixed it, and know since i made a few errors don't want to order from me. I want to thank all the members who still are ordering and have confidence in me right now. I'm doing this for yall so you can save. I found a source for cheaper parts and i want to offer it so people can start this hobby even cheaper and enjoy it more.

I dont depend on my parents. I have my own credit and debt card fyi, and i also have my own bank account. I can handle money perfectly. Everybody was refunded the 2nd my error was made.
I tried to fix what i messed up and yall just start bitching at me because you got your money back, and aren't happy having money back. Geez
I have everything planned out and i just fixed the error with shipping and Paypal fees to make sure it dont happen again. Go pay more money if it makes you happy. I don't care i have nothing to loose on this forum as i have  just about lost everything i do have  :-[

whether or not you depend on your parents they are legally liable for your actions since you are a minor. people are unhappy because they got their money back! you made the deal of selling them sleds at a promised price. you failed to even think of the math and fee it takes to sell things online and that is your fault and only your fault.

you would have lost 100 dollars in this deal but a lot of these people lost time which is money! if they would have know you would refund their money later down the road they would have gone with another source and gotten their diodes when promised. not their money back.

now you honestly think that everyone in a business doesnt take a fall and lose money at some point in time? you had to either chose to lose 100 dollars or refund everyones money and look VERY VERY unprofessional. i personally would have stood up and taken the fall because it was my fault, but then again when i say something i stick to my word and dont back down.

keep your word wes and stop trying to be more mature than you can be.... it just ends bad as i really hope you have seen.

honestly you have sent me msn messages saying oh i just made 650 dollar profit off this talk box and i just made 500 dollars profit from selling my sound studio..... could you man up and take the 100 dollar fall? i think so.... (these two messages were in the past week)

sure it sucks, but it sucks more that you let all these people down.

i think you should really just stop doing business with other peoples money... it would be the safest thing for your own good.

Right now i cant afford to take the fall since i had almost 450$ in my paypal and that jackass Charge backed me because he needed the money back, and he wanted to keep his new equipment i sent him. If yall dont want to Buy.. Go away. I already have 45 orders which is well enough and im buying a few for myself. Ill do this GB right and yall will see.

Oh, no! could it be that you're feeling stupid for participating in something that turned out to not be what you expected? you feel taken... when after all, you engaged in a transaction in which you did not do "due diligence" in checking out the credentials of the other party... or chose to ignore what you knew. That's a feature of the Internet that is often forgotten: you don't really know who's on the other end unless you really check it out.

In my opinion: the adult thing to do, while expressing your disappointment to the child, is to also acknowledge your own mistake. There is no need to beat up on the kid. He has, after all, acknowledged his error - which is not easy to do for a teenager. You probably can relate to that...

You say you have kids. When they make a mistake, then apologize and fix it, do you beat them up?

I say it would do more good for you to move on, don't deal with him if you don't want... and leave the kid alone.

I am not trying to beat him up as you claim, I'm trying to make him understand why we are acting the way we are. I was trying to explain in a way so he would try to accept our anger towards this GB, and realize how a lot of people have been let down, therefore the words "stop bitching" or something of the sort is unnecessary. I am not the one who's upset at the outcome of the GB, I feel that a refund was very honorable. My last few posts were simply trying to make him feel our pain as well, I know he's losing money and I just want to share to him that we are experiencing some sort of pain as well for losing time. Simple as that, not asking him to make up for it, not asking him to stop trying. I am asking him to not say that we should be happy that we got refunds, which is rarely the goal of a purchase. That's it.

Where do you see that I "beat him up"? Stop trying to be the bigger brother, its clear he defends his own ground.

Thanks for the diodes Wes. But unfortunately the I just realized how illegal importing diodes >5mW in my region is. I'm going to have to give you back all your lasers.

... Same principles here had we done this to you. You lost time, you lost money, the potential 50 diodes became 30, and you lost potential money that could've been had. I refund you the diodes, you whine about how immature I am for not knowing the law and then taking it out on you. I get my money back, I tell you to stop bitching.

Hopefully this will help you see our views a little bit clearer, if this helped you see how your side could've been worse.

I could write up a detailed discussion of and response to your posts - with quotes, proofs, caveats, and cavebats; but really it just boils down to this: As a parent you should know that teenagers are very sensitive to language, and belittling language is hurtful. It doesn't take much for an adult to make a teenager feel bad, and to bring out defensiveness. You can get your point across without doing so.

btw: I will not hesitate to intervene when I see a child (even if a teenager) being berated out of proportion to his "offense".

I can't believe I haven't said this already as it has been on my mind for two days now.

Wes, part of being responsible is admitting your own mistakes. Okay, you did that and aced on that part, but another part of being responsible, is if you commit to something that involves a great deal (money, people, etc), and you make mistakes, that you still try to continue with case as best as you can and accept the losses. Better luck next time. You didn't and just said, sorry people, here's your money back, delayed, exchanged, fees subtracted and god knows what, and go to the next seller.

A note to the victims. People call us participants stupid for participating, but from our perspective it's just a gamble. There are people who lose much more money (converted from time if needed) with gambling. This was a gamble that was (imo) definitely worth the try.

Just an observation, not meant to be a flame, but if you're trying to make a serious point, use correct english (including spelling).  It's hard to take you seriously when you spell 'something' as "sumthin", etc.  It just looks careless.
