Did you already get them or just order them? I'm wondering if they're actually LEPs or if it's just fancy Chinese marketing.I grabbed a couple of these for Christmas gifts, great price.

Who wouldn't love one of these! Men and Woman. Maby not a gift to your wife thoughI grabbed a couple of these for Christmas gifts, great price.
Awesome! I may have to get one or two.Received the 1st of these and it's nicely made, it's a lot more impressive than the pic because my camera is old, the throw is really quite good.
I will post a few more pics when the others arrive.
One thing of note is when on the high setting the output will dim a little after 30 seconds or so, but a quick off-on resets it, this is normal thermal protection according to the instructions, pretty neat for the price and it's a shine through LEP element not a refractive.... I'm sure I will take one apart when the others arrive, probably post a few pics later.
p.s. I wouldn't give this to a child, it could hurt our eyes at short range if shown/pointed at someones face.
I'm thinking about testing a c-lens corrected beam with a shine through LEP element and then possibly a small beam expander or how about a FAC enhanced laser diode..... you don't suppose they are using FAC enhanced laser diodes in these lep flashlights??? ...... tear down coming soon.
I am talking about using a laser with c-lens correction in an attempt to improve the dia. and divergence of the white output obtained from the shine through LEP element.
