When are they due?
as for the A140's why not try one in a Laser 66 pen. It would be a fun 30 second or so burner. Cheap enough to risk the chance of killing
Towards the middle to end of April but I've always had them come in pretty early.
I think the diodes are direct pressed into a brass looking heatsink but I'll have to doublecheck when they get here. The heatsink looks to be about 20mm (I hope it is) so I'll have to find a way to press out the diode if that's even possible.
Oh yes I remember, 15 seconds of fun:eg: Why am I thinking you also did a 6W one?i did 3W in a laser66
I don't know, all the FAC' have seen are tiny and put right up against the diode dye. Regardless, a great looking optic and price is a small fraction of original, I bet. I've been buying optics from this seller for a couple of years, he has some interesting stuff.

Yeah, FAC lenses are tiny and are attached directly in front of the emitter face.
Ok, I'm curious, what should an optic be called that is only going to affect one axis, instead of acting like a 'normal' lens that affects both axis?
Cory, I'm not sure what the function of the optic you bought is, I have not seen one like that before. My initial impression is that it is simply a mirror on a rounded piece of glass, but if the back side is ground to a high accuracy and clear, probably a dichroic mirror which reflects one wavelength, passes another. All of these guesses are real grasps, I expect I'm wrong but for what they are worth.
It got so hot that it melted the switch??:bowdown:lol on the 6W the push button got stuck it started smelling like a burn the host got sooo hot
i would only recommend using 2X 1.5V AAA battery in the laser66 host
Well, I bought it *hoping* it's a dichroic mirror.
No matter what it should be an interesting optic...
