PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please sub

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Yep, those are what i have, huge. I couldn't remember exact size in the other thread, same price.

Funny, was just talking about those on another thread. Seeing that image everywhere too, originally saw it on the Reddit 2007scape sub...

FYI, these are apparently a pain to get aligned. Can't remember if I ever used mine with RGB ... been too long.

I've been thinking about getting some of those for a RGB myself. You in to OSRS as well? :D

If anyone is interested in combining or splitting colors in a not-so-efficient manner, I found some 2in x 2.5in x 2.5in cross dichroic cubes from an LCD projector here:

Cross Dichroic Prism Glass (x-cube) 2 x 2.5 x 2.5 LCD Projector GREAT CONDITION! | eBay

I plan on using them like this:

I'm not so sure that'd work. I have a similar cube and it doesn't behave as a decent dichro for the laser wavelengths I tried.

Any idea what that Argon-ion laser sold for when new? If I hadn't spent money on a great deal for a 2 mJ @10ns 1064nm CW or pulse laser just the other day, I'd be interested in the Argon, great price, beautiful blue.

By the way, I just powered up that double knife edge laser diode unit I bought from you for the first time here last night :) Do you know how much the maximum current the regulator can handle per diode when heat sinked? Considering swapping the A140 diodes out for something higher power.

Edit: Back to add this

I know these are dichro cubes, but I had to match the polarity of the my green laser (or was it green?) input side for maximum output.... That should not be if these are non-polarized, so why? I have not messed with them for over a year now, but if I remember correctly, I had to turn the polarity of the colors coming in from the side, otherwise the throughput power suffered greatly. This must mean they are also polarized, or the angle of the dicro inside the cube itself partially polarized some of the inputs, no other way for that to happen.

I'll try that when I get some free time, don't remember if I did when I bought it from a scrap shop a few years ago.

Recognized that instantly. That laser is well traveled, it came from England, went to Scotland, came to Canada and is now in Iraq! :p

Output is up to 2A, so it's probably already running at full current. There's a monitor pad on the driver that'll give you 1mV/mA so you can test the current there.

Here's the page for the driver that has all the info: Die4Drive

Thank you :) now I remember you had given me this information in the past, lost it all when my HD crashed on my old notebook. This is even more traveled than that, I had it in Afghanistan for awhile, then went to Dubai, U.A.E. with it before coming here, just didn't power it up until I came to Iraq.

I am considering swapping the A140 diodes out with M462 baby blues.

Merry Christmas my friend.

Anyone know what this "FACTORY REFUBIRSHED" business is all about?

THIS UNIT HERE

My thought is returned under warranty, the factory either fixed it, or could not find any defect and selling.
