Oh, I knew it wasn't a DPSS laser, but putting that in the title makes you think it is up to spec with the wavelength and could therefore be used as pump in a DPSS. If I were to purchase this, I would hope to play around with pumping a 532nm or 473nm crystal set.

Do you already own an Nd:YAG crystal constrained to the 946 line?? :drool:

The description on the item in your link claims: "Pump at 3W for up to 100mw of blue laser light", I'm guessing that 20W will fry it. Why not get a nice 3W 808nm pump from a trusted source for it?
As for your 10mW B&W, I wouldn't touch it if it works; and if you're thinking of putting a 20W pump in it: I'd much rather that you just send it to me and I'll send you a dead laser in return for same end result :crackup:

I'm not sure if this belong here, since it is not Ebay, but still a good deal which probably won't last long.

HomeDepot has a 3pc flashlight set for $3 shipped. I'm sure they are cheap quality, but nevertheless very cheap price. May make an ok host for a beginner: LED Multi-Color Aluminum Flashlight Combo Kit 3-Piece-96107 at The Home Depot

Thanks again guys. I have bought so much from these postings. I will go for that Melles Griot 56RCS if no1 else is interested. I'd pay a fair amount, but if it goes into the few hundreds, probably not. And those adjustable slits look like a great learning experience for some high school hobbyists, to learn a bit before possibly going to college.

I did not realize there was the other series, 56ICS. I would also go for that too if no one else is interested, or if the price doesn't skyrocket to the few hundreds or beyond. That 250W LPM looks like it it has a bit of bidders and will go up. It does not look too useful for the lasers we use here, since it has a resolution of 0.1W beginning at 1W (according to spec sheet). But it may come in handy for measuring some of my newer lasers (I just bought one of those 20W 808nm used pre-production run diodes - I will let you guys know if it works or not, and I managed to win one of the 3W 808nm assemblies, but not both). So if the 250W manages to stay below $100, I may bite (again, if there isn't other interest).

Time to start giving long overdue +reps. Thanks so much you guys. I feel like I'm practically the only one taking advantage of this thread. I owe you guys. I will try to sort through those mirrors when I get back home.
