I think the youtube video is all in good humor. But the guy in the instructable kinda gave himself some obviously amateur tats.

WTH, you could totally avoid the skin cancer and cataracts if you paid for some ink and an artist.

Glad he didn't set it on vector cut. Still they were nucking futs. My machine will leave you name on a rock. I hate to see what it would do if I set it on 100% power 10% speed

You aren't going to get skin cancer from a C02 laser and he was wearing safety glasses so he wont end up with cataracts. That still doesn't mean he isn't a complete moron for doing this. Though who am I to judge what people want to do? I've seen much stupider stunts with lasers anyway.

But the guy in the instructable doesn't say anything about safety glasses. And on top of that, he's instructing everyone who sees it to do the same
Idk, it's just profoundly.. something.. like stabbing yourself to show others what happens when you stab yourself

Yeah, I didn't read the indestructible post. In which neglecting to mention safety glasses for a system like this is a huge "NO NO". I'm not sure what can be done about that other than trying to contact the author. Maybe petitioning his post? Not sure. Though if you watch the video he clearly puts a pair of glasses on. Definitely not something you want people to "try".

Back on the stupid stuff. People have, will and will continue doing stupid stuff. It's no surprise here that someone would give themselves a "laser tattoo" (Though I highly discourage it). I've seen more idiotic things.

Case and point.

Did I see that right, he shot his arm?
First off there still is a ton of force that could break a rib and send a piece of it into your lungs or heart and kill you. Secondly that guy is a horrible shot. Also that close with a high powered rifle hurts soooooo bad. AK47's suck, go for a HK416 :)

Well that guy was lucky it was his arm and not his head.

I think you've successfully made your point about the foolishness of others.

Would be a lot more interesting if he tried to bore a hole though his leg instead with the co2 laser .........

Did anyone else notice that this guys face got flash burned? Look at him at the end of the video, and you can clearly see where the goggles were.
