With paypal's new shipping design it will finally let us ship first class international packages now!!
it also shows a tracking number for all first class packages as well when you print them.
I assume this the same Customs number i always get when doing it manually and basically only shows when the package left the USA, but it's still some sort of tracking for international customer now.
At least now customers will know when the package was shipped, and being able to look up the tracking # to see when it left the USA to get some sort of idea on it's arrival.

I just got really excited about it and had to share this great news.....
I HATED writing all those international addresses by hand.

Haha i've bought quite a few things off you in the past Moh, and allways found your handwritten labels "interesting"

I've been using PayPal shipping for Domestic and International
packages for over 3 years now. It is very convenient and we get
a Canada Post discount from the counter service shipping costs
by using it.
I just wish they had cheaper domestic shipping services.

Cool.

How do the custom forms work? Do you still have to go talk to someone in the post office?

now the customs forms are just printed as part of the label.

before, i had to hand write the label, then go to the post office and get a customs sticker that stated what was in the package, it's weight, and value and then stick it on the package.

Oh wow, that's pretty handy. Thanks.

It seems that PayPal is goofing up the return address on a few shipping labels that I've tried to print. A few of them have worked, but others won't. I've already emailed them and asked them what the deal is.

Yep I had just been using stamps.com for my international first class. But now that Paypal has it I had though for a second about canceling them but then I noticed that the Express package/thick envelope only goes to 1 pound or less which makes it like $34 when it is $27.55 for 8 ounces. I prefer to ship in my packaging instead of using the express flat rate envelope as it draws less attention being in a plain manilla envelope. Hopefully they will fix that but the first class really makes it a lot easier.
