I don't mean to be a stick in the butt, but....
How about a concise, accurate status report on this undertaking. I'm seeing conflicting posts regarding the status of production start, money collection, etc...(I refer to post #177 and #184 in particular). I can understand being busy as well as the next guy, but when I'm that busy I don't try to take on more...especially when it puts a lot of people dependent on me to produce...just sayin'.

I know I only have one horse in this race, but some accurate information as to where we stand would be much appreciated.

Not all of this is because thejoker301 is busy. Much of it is setting up the machining of the hosts in China and having everything in place before money is collected. Sorry for the conflicting posts and the delay as well.

Initially this group buy was for a minimum of 75 hosts. Then thejoker301 lowered the host count to 50. We have 35 hosts at this time. Thejoker301 decided to take the remaining hosts in order not to hold up this group buy longer than it had already been. He has been setting this up with the company in China and has also been very busy in the mean time. I have been posting everything I learn and it has given the impression that this is over. However, it has taken longer than anyone has wanted including myself. But, we are very close now to being able to start collecting money. I hope everyone can understand the amount of work this group buy has taken and can please be a little more patient. :thanks: Paul

Hi Everone ,

So a small problem that I had today.

There are 32 copper head hosts and 2 AI heads hosts.

Making these 2 AI hosts is not worth the money and will basically raise the price. As making just two parts is pricey.

I will either "eat" these expanses of extra $5 each by my-self or hopefully will convince them to upgrade to a copper upgrade for $ extra.

I am opening a sale page right now. Everyone will pay through the website. That way it will be recorded more easily. I will also be able to export an excel file of the ones who paid easier.

Hello everyone. The payment page is ready to launch, but is waiting for two aluminum heat sinked hosts. As soon as I hear about this, I will email thejoker301 and he will post the page. The problem is that two aluminum heat sinks make the machining of these two more expensive, and we are trying to avoid that. If we can make all the heat sinks copper, it will make cost less overall.

Just talked to thejoker301 and he is going to open the payment page when he gets home in a few hours. So, be looking for it so we can get this group buy finished and the hosts machined and sent out to all of us who have waited so long to get these awesome hosts.

Talked to thejoker301 about three hours ago and he told me as soon as he gets home he will launch the payment page. It should be very soon, but I will email him again just to be sure.

Thejoker301 told me that he opened the page, then closed it because of a problem that may hold everything up. He told me that if he uses his business to collect the money and someone opens a PayPal dispute for any reason, it would hold up all the money and would not be released until the issue was resolved. So, like we did with the S1 lens group buy, he will send out PMs to each individual to be paid to his account: thejoker301@gmail.com. This will start today. So, there is a new plan. :thanks: Paul

Thanks, Blair. It has been a please doing this group buy with you again. If anyone knows how to get in touch with bloompyle I have sent him a PM and need to see what he wants to do about the only aluminum hosts in this group buy.
 
USAbro, this is a group buy for laser hosts that are over and are being finalized before the hosts are manufactured in China. If you read the OP you will see everything you need to know. There is a slim possibility that I can squeeze you in if you act quickly.
