:wave::wave::wave:I'm at work atm, and today, a package from WL came... I'll be checking these E2's ASAP guys... I believe these are all the green ones only... -;) -Glenn
 





OK so, I did a bit of inspecting and testing, and the bad news is, a lot were shipped without a window to protect the lens, (a very nice feature, as it is anti-reflection coated and helps to keep dust smoke etc off of the lens), and about half were out of spec due to low output or TEM 01 (double dot), I will be in contact w/ WL ASAP and see when the RMA can be done as well as asking when they can ship the Violet and Red lasers we asked for. I know this is pretty disappointing, but if it makes anyone feel better, the few good ones are over 80mW and if we have to wait more, I feel they should be sure to keep up that output. I must say, I do love these when they are in spec! -Glenn

So wl dissapoints again, sad to hear...

Now you have to go trough a rma procedure because of their error:tsk:

O ps. If you still have any cores left, could you hold on 1 for me? Decided i wanted a nice 5mW pointer and not a new wish pen....so this popped up in mind:p when you need the funds for it shoot me a pm and ill pp you.

You can ship it together with the e2's when those are ready.

Not sure if there will be any additional shipping costs to?

Wait. Because I just dont think I can wait this long. Nothing against you scope just a little pissed off at WL.
 
Thanks Glenn. I don't mind the wait. I however feel very sorry for you being stuck on our behalf in the middle here.

I do hope that WL compensates you economically or with items for both return shipping, time & effort. If not, tell me if you need a few extra bucks to cover these extra costs.

They should not land on you.

Yes, friend, they gave me an RMA # and the returns will be sent on it ASAP, and I believe they will get the replacements moving really soon. Also, they said they would get me a item, to compensate me for the postage and troubles. I apologize to you all for delays as well. T/Y guys! -Glenn
 
Really wish you hadn't done this Glenn. I hate WL so much it pains me to see them make any money. Good luck and hope everything turns out good though.
 
I really understand how you feel... I also know of several people who had very bad experiences w/ WL, but I bought dozens of Core lasers from them, and a EVO PRO 2010, (it's about my favorite momentary button type greenie ), and they have also replaced several items in a timely manner for me and even tossed in a few bonus items both to my friends and to me. Also, I know about every laser company has sent out some lasers that failed, and w/ great sources such as LG, CNI and even my pal IgorT when they were needing fixing, those replacements were often slower than he**... So, I think due to these things, and DPSS being an unpredictable animal, (at least, in most production lasers), harsh judgements on quality before the Arctic, were possibly either unfounded or unrealistic expectations. Truly though some of the customer relations were not as good as my experiences I believe... I just think, I must go by what my experiences are to judge if I want to deal w/ WL. But thanks for posting mfo, your point is well taken, and a few buyers have been refunded already... ;) -Glenn

I am asking them to try to hurry the shipment as long as the quality is all there... Also, I decided to get less red and violet units if possible as I will end up with more than before from refunding buyers, so, if you wanted one of those, it's time to speak up please... You see, I just like Green lasers better.
Also, as a bonus from WL, (and to compensate me for troubles and shipping costs), They offered a laser, I don't know if I'll be getting an E3 green or an Arctic but I'll be OK with either... Thanks for hanging in there with me friends. No hard feelings to those who would rather not wait, I understand.

If you end up with any Violet or red E2's from refunded buyers I'd be willing to get one, If there ends up being any of course.
 
^^ Sure, I'll keep you in mind, but so far WL is talking refunding all their red and violet ones on the GB and I may get a DIY pal to make me red, violet and blue E2 mod units in higher output then WL ever would.... ;) -Glenn
 
It's all good I was planning to do the same if I could get ahold of one :beer:
