Ordered the same type of module that Lazerman121 was showing in this thread.
http://laserpointerforums.com/f52/review-cni-561nm-glp-module-95756.html
I ordered it through Eforce and it has a 3-4week lead time(probably CNI needs to make it and then it will ship directly from there if I had to guess)
This gives me quite a bit of time to plan the build out and get what I'll need. I don't want to leave it as a module, I'd prefer to build it into a finished pointer.
I've had several thoughts cross my mind ranging from easy to hard builds.
-The idiot proof option which is just to put the laser module, a AAA battery holder and a switch into a hobby box. I don't really like this option though, as I'd prefer to make this into a classy pointer.
-The preferable option would be some kind of pen or portable laser host. However this plan also has some complications.
1-Needs to take 2X AAA or AA. No lithium ion cells.
2-needs a constant-on tailcap clicky as the module won't be coming with a clicky switch on top of the module.
3-Some kind of heatsinking for the module would be nice.
Anybody know of some good hosts for the CNI GLP modules? Links to other parts I'll need would also be appreciated
