Here's my two best lasers...

The RPL 375 Green settles at 400mW's and the Blue 35 gets to 40mW's. :D

Nice! So what are you using for the tailcap adjustments?

I've got my RPL-300. Bought it second hand, and it's been around for years now and it still works like a champ. It'll be here after the universe collapses.

Don't have any straight pictures of it, but here it is in action in fog :D :

HI Guys, I relatively new to the forum and usually read the post, but hardly ever comment myself.
At the beggining I wanted like probably all of us "high output and very low price" Luckily I did not fall for the many kinds of chinese product that promise excellent quality at a low price, but decided spend more money on the 'project" I think aspecially halucynogenic advised optotronics.
I also saw the CNI group buy I think round 6 but the time of the arrival of the products was somehow late at that time so I decided to go on on my own.
I started exchanging with Jack who provided an excellent service and also a quite good bargain price (first I did not think it's possible, but he was really cool and gave a nice discount)
Everything happened as he promised and my 400mw RPL arrived right on time with an extra battery, charger and adjustable tailcap.
Since than I am VERY satesfied with my RPL! I am really glad that I was willing to spend more and now own quality.

The RPL is really nice I got the silver one and there is already a picture abve in a nother post may be there is no need for me to post one, may be a short vidio I should still post later...
I have no equipment to measure specs, but I asked Jack to select the best of the ones he had on stock at that time here is what he wrote before sending it:
It's a very nice one that averaged 422mw, in fact on a couple of
the trends it was in the 440 range and quite often exceeded 500mw

What else to say, I am happy with what I have and can only reccomand it to anyone!

Best of luck!

RPL 300 (broken) and RPL 450 here (works good until it warms up then gets non TEMoo)

The circuitry has changed since the original RPL series. When the driver safety engaged the laser would flash on and off. This has never happened with the RPL 450. Best is level 8. When it heats up good it will drop and the beam becomes TEM01. I'm not sure if it's a laser problem or battery problem though. I have been too busy with other stuff to check.

When it was on 8 (I call it Class IV mode!) I did take some video Christmas day shining the beam out back and it looked like a death ray. We had a ceiling of about 2000 feet (clouds and fog) and I was drawing on the sky and the hounds next door totally freaked out! It was hilarious! It's nice living in the sticks because you don't have to worry about neighbors calling 911 to report a UFO.

Man I have problems with my 400. It's only 2 months old, I really took care of it. I have no equipment to measure, but no doubt that it's much weaker than before. It doesn't sting my hand anymore and would not burn any black paper, actually does no mark to it at all. Jack advised to clean the batterys and the threads of the talicap-nothing changed. Today I get some equipment to measure the voltage of the batterys (my last hope) otherwise I'll have to sened it back to him. I am not worried he provides excellent customer service however shipment is 80$ the way there and about 50$ back after it's repaired or replaiced.

Did ever anything like that happen to you guys?
Any ideas what could be wrong?

:shhh:

I must correct this, Jack and I tryed several things to find the cause and to fix it, we will probably go on experimenting for solutions before the last option sanding it back. He offered me covering the cost of shipment back and forth. This I haven't heard from any other seller before.
Guys, if you want to go for sure buy from him!
:yh:
