As someone who has standed idly by, reading this thread...

This forum definitely has a problem with "mob mentalities". What JLSE did was wrong, yes, but that is no grounds for being directly threatening to him in real life... that's taking it too far, regardless of whatever situation had happened.

I do think it would have been nice to see some sort of posts or SOMETHING, to let us all know what is going on, however if that wasn't possible, at all well I understand. Life gets in the way, and unfortunately it got in the way for a very expensive build.

I'm really happy to see you paid out the debt, and are back on the forums, JLSE. You do some pretty neat experiments, and I'm very sorry you had to go through all of this.

Not sure where to begin, but will keep this short. I have been away from the forum for some time
and with reasons which are personal and will remain with me. I can only apologize to reginak for
the duration of time which passed before I was able to refund $ owed.

What I find the strangest in this whole scenario is that during this time period of "personal" issues, you remained active on eBay and on YouTube, but remained inactive on LPF. I can understand monetary problems, but not so much activity everywhere but LPF. There's no excuse for that, and I'd come to expect better.

I suppose we'll have to just see how this all unfolds.

EDIT: Handing out -reps just links more people to this thread. I see you're doing your part to inform LPF.

For all we know, ebay and yt could be the resources behind Regina getting her money back. Screwing somebody over is definitely bad, but making good on it, in my opinion shows character.

People rarely bounce back overnight from misfortune. I'm glad it was paid back. His history here should not be ignored.

But lets not get away from the issue here, you disappeared with a lot of one members money , I'm not the one in the wrong here.

Like I said, we ALL fall on hard times and unexpected things happen that help drain our resources, you say it was personal reasons , thats fair enough, we dont all want our life spread over the internet.


However..

A PM costs NOTHING , an email costs NOTHING , and dodging the forums didnt help your case, and thats where a lot of the problem lay. NOBODY knew what was going on, you were active on youtube and various other places , which basically (to coin a British phrase) took the pi$$.

You left Reginak hundreds of $$ out of pocket, whilst continuing with your "personal problems" (uploading to youtube and the like) .

We're not the one in the wrong here....you are.

Im glad to hear that Regina got her money back and that JSLE finally paid up.

At the risk of "stoking the fire" so to speak, have the mods considered just removing his REP and/or stripping him of his vet status? It seems to me that a lot of users associate a high rep and esp. vet status with a trustworthy individual with whom there is less risk involved. I'm NOT saying he is dishonest, but why not let him re-earn this status by rebuilding his rep?

This could also benefit him too; if he does have money issues, why strip him of one source of income? Let him sell like anyone else, but without the advantages his experienced forum membership affords...

I guess Im saying, let him start from scratch and with a clean slate...:beer:

Just to inform that without any notice, PM or e-mail, Wannaburn / JLSE have deposited $410,00 CAD, that is the rest of the money he owned me. So this matter for me has ended, I'm glad that he payed, better later than never.

I received a lot of help of many users of this forum, and because this help I got my money back, so thanks very much everyone who helped.

I sent the remaining balance to her, and have cleared up this debt.

I would also like to add that this was the only issue I have had in near 6 years on this forum
regarding money.

I will no longer be offering any custom builds for sale here on the forum. I will continue to list
on ebay, and share posts of builds and projects as I always have.

This situation went bad, but it was not intentional. Everything got put on hold in my life and
did not have the funds to handle this debt. The buyer had the chance to dispute the charge via paypal
up to 45 days, and obviously felt comfortable with the wait given all the changes in my first design
she was asking for.

I see the term 'scam' being used, this was not the case. I would say we are each entitled to our
opinion, and after reviewing some of the comments in this thread, I see a lot of personal issues
coming to the surface.

Again, im not going to make any excuses,, the debt has been paid. This issue was on my mind
since I became inactive on the forum. I had my reasons, and there was nothing I could do.


I would also like to clarify a few things regarding posts in this thread during my absence.

@Kidzdawg The 3 dead diodes you sent me are here in a box ready to ship. The red was beyond repair,
the other 2 3.8mm were too small to 'de-can' as mentioned in a previous PM. My last PM to you was
requesting your shipping address via email, I never heard back. They are still here, and will ship
them pending that info.

A few members posted here as if this was a common occurrence with me. UNTRUE, I have had a series of
life issues to deal with, and had to deal with them. All the while keeping full intention to repay this
single individual on a single deal gone bad. As Dave pointed out, yelling will not help, and did not.
The refund was for me to return, which I did on my own accord.

As for the comments of kicking in my door.... All I will say about this, is that to me that is a threat of violence,
I took it as a threat and wrote a complaint to the owner of this forum as well as a senior mod. I would
offer this, before anybody ever considers an act such as kicking in a door, take a step back an think things
through.. You do not know what is on the other side.



I will not be offering any of my builds for sale here anytime soon. After reading posts like that
of PED who happens to be a moderator " We should all make a purchase from him and not pay, let him battle for his money."
I see nothing but malice, which was never my intent, but at least I have seen some true colours surface. I will simply
update my ignore list, I have no desire to contend with this type of childish nonsense.


Just to recap, this sale was based on a custom dual build where the buyer requested several changes and
was fine with waiting. ALL of my sales for lasers already built have gone smooth. This was a custom request
at a bad time. I deal strictly with paypal, and the buyer has, and has always had the freedom to dispute
the purchase up to 45 days post payment. This was 1 member, with a unique build, at a bad time.


For all those showing their support, and have spoken in my defense, I thank you. I have been here a long
time, and would not run off over a matter of 400. I appreciate your confidence in me, and appreciate
the kind words spoken.



My best to you all... I look forward to writing up some new ideas, designs, and prototypes as before.

that you would not leave a customer hanging indefinitely
unlike some other recent "Vet" that made off with and
scammed members out of thousands of dollars.

As they say "$hit Happens"... Life is not always fair and

On October, 08, 2011 I buyed from Wannaburn/JLSE a 3.2W 445nm Laser, the one he showed some videos and pictures. I paid him US$600,00 upfront of a 1200 + shipping total.

Hi, after a payment of US$200,00 made by JLSE/Wannaburn on June I didn't received the rest.

Appreciate the comments.. I owed the OP 600.CDN in total, months back I sent 210. and this
past week 410. CDN. The extra 20.$ was to cover any fees. I didnt want to fall short

Either you have trouble processing thoughts, or added the exaggeration for other reasons.:thinking:

Love your one sided approach. I left a few neg- reps for those who added asinine comments
to this thread. Openly suggesting that random people who read this thread go and commit fraud
intentionally deserves a neg rep. I would expect that from the same kid who said kick in my door.

The difference is, you are A- an "adult" & B- a representative of this community aka a mod. Your duty here is to
keep things smoothed out, not perpetuate drama, or worse criminal activity.

My situation with reginak was dealt with, and I am happy it is over. You on the other hand

Is great to hear you at long last received your refund and the saga is over for you after a year an 5 months of wait start to finish
