Ok Geeks. Let us see those case mods!

When I get my Antec 1200, I'm planning on eventually installing an LCD display so that I can monitor my CPU usage, temps, network usage, mem usage, etc. There is a good amount of info on the internet for doing this (search for lcd4linux), so I think it'll be a fun project.

Not much of a mod, but I did build it :) I'll upgrade it soon but its not even a year old yet so ill wait a while.

LOL ! It's so hard ass, But you need Vista Ultimate 64bit !! Windows Xp home Wont run that thing fast enough, As it can run faster !! TORRENT FTW !

I'm on XP pro now, but the only speed advantage you gain from runninga 64-bit system is the ability to have above 3.8GB of RAM, I'm also dual booting windows 7 beta build 7057 which replaced my ubuntu boot :)

pseudolobster: Thank goodness you're using RAID 5. If you were using RAID 0, I'd be laughing... Those ultra-high capacity drives love to fail.

I'm planning on buying at least 3 640GB WD Caviar Black drives for my RAID 5 array. 1.2TB is more than I need, especially since I'll be dedicating it to a single Arch Linux installation. I'll probably install a 160gb drive or two that I have lying around here in for Windows.

Newegg has a great deal for a 1TB Hitachi for only $75 shipped. I'd get it if I didn't already owe my dad so much money lol.

On topic, the only case mod I ever really did was install a blow-hole on the top of my case. Other than that, I did build my computer, with an AMD x2 Dual Core 6400+, 8GB 800MHz ram, approx. 1TB total with all my hard drives, dual DVD burners, dual graphics cards, etc. (oh, and liquid cooling :))

I haven't used my computer in months though lol, never needed it. My old laptop does all i need (for now).

this thread is so good, i wish i could be bothered to make a pc like that.
