It might not even exist at all .. it still might be just publicity stunt. In which case it's imho not bad idea at all. People will just say: hey, I'm not that stupid to buy the double Spyder.. but hey, the single one is so cheap these days ? I haven't know ! I take one ..

And btw. even this laser wont blind you, so please stop saying that. It will certainly severely damage your sight .. but there is long way from perfect sight to complete blindness. I guess most people will stop trying after first few hits.

1. They are accepting payment...
2. People really are that stupid
3. You really think your sight will be that great after just 1 direct hit in the eye? If you're dumb enough to buy this then that "1" will probably end up being "5" if "1" "2" "3" and "4" don't do it.

Hmmm, try pointing one at your arm and see what happens. Then think what it would do to the ultra soft tissue in your eye.

i just saw this thread, and i must say this is one of the scariest thing i've ever seen.
i mean wtf... make it 5mW green and it may be ok but 1W is just like selling weapons..

E: and what the hell, yes it will permablind you

For example it would be pretty hard to hit both eyes at the same time. So even if it killed 1 eye completely (which I think it wouldn't), you still got another eye .. ie you're not blind.
 
Not being able to see is considered blind. Doesn't matter if its one eye or two. The term "total blindness" refers to both eyes. If a persona said "the laser will totally blind you", that means both eyes.

They're only furthering the stereotype that really powerful lasers are like lightsabers. *sigh*
