today, i recieved my new 200mw red laser from o-like.com, it can be
purchased here: New Style red laser
200mW /adjustable [OLNRL200] - $44.99 : O-Like, Quality Products, Great
Prices

it's a great laser and i reccomend it to everyone! so, lets get started with
the review!

LOOKS
the look and feel of this laser is amazing! It feels like its heavy duty! The
laser is heavy but not too heavy, especially for its size. It looks like a small
flashlight, and can fit in your pocket. Its not big at all. This laser seems like
it can put up with a hard fall and more! even though i dont recommend it :).
I love the diamond-shaped ridges, its a great addition! The only problem i
can see here is, the on/off button is a little loose, which may cause some
rattleing. Its not a big problem and wont affect the preformance at all.
here's some pics:

PERFORMANCE
I must say, this laser exceeded my expectations! The Focusing nob twists
nice and smooth, providing a better focus. This laser can burn things from
up close and from afar. With some careful focusing, the farthest i was able
to light a match was 25 feet (7.62 meters)! Im sure you can go farther than
that, thanks to the focusing mechanism on this laser. You can still do the
usual with it, such as pop balloons etc. but you can also ignite firework fuses
and black powder with this laser too! The laser is blindingly bright, so
safety goggles are extremely recommended! The only bad thing about the laser
is the ring around the beam at close range. when you are focusing this laser
at close range, you'll notice two rings around the laser, its not a big problem. its hardly
noticeable from afar, however, it wont interfere with the awesome preformace this
laser has to offer.

Shipping
this doesn't really have anything to do with the laser, but i thought i'd add a
little review about it too. I ordered from o-like and susie was great! she
shipped my package a couple days after i ordered and she e-mailed me the
tracking number. I ordered my laser to come in two different packages to
ensure it got past the US customs check. i received my batteries, charger
and tail-cap in about a 9 days. My laser came in 18 days :/ my postal
service (USPS) also didn't update the tracking number of my package until
it arrived at my house. so i was kind of bummed out about that. My laser
came in bubble-wrap all nice and packaged. so it was in the best shape
when it arrived at my house. all in all A+ to susie.

to finish off this review, i'd like to add some pro's and con's about this laser.

Pro's
-Burns awesome!
-Heavy duty style
-Great focusing knob!
-Extremely bright laser and beam
-Small, great size

Con's
-The on/off button is a little loose, causing a slight rattle, but its nothing too bad.
-Battery life is short, but then again, i used it non-stop the entire day :)
-The two rings around the laser

All in all, this is a great laser! get it! :)

Blade,

I was ordering them "charger and batteries separate" for a while, but then I said what the hell and ordered them all-in-one; they showed up fine. More of a risk but, I haven't had any problems.

I recently aquired one of these, but am unhappy with it due to a line artifact that extends about an inch on either side of the dot at 10'. Almost as if a line lens was there. Haven't taken it up with Susie yet . . .I absolutely hate messing with returns. I did my reasearch here, and don't recall seeing this problem mentioned. Also the focusing threads are very sloppy, tho a couple wraps of teflon tape helped that.

Hey, welcome to the forums. I do not have a line appearing from the laser, besides the two rings that project from it at close range. And as for the threads, I do not have a problem with that either. You should contact Susie and she'll tell you if it is eligable for a return. I just exchanged this laser from her a week ago due to a dead diode. She sent me back a new one within 9 days. They're great people. You should stick with them, even though your experience with the laser isn't so good. Also, I haven't been hearing any good reviews for any other laser site besides this one.

cool, i was thinking of getting my friend this so he doesnt feel left out lol. I was put off somewhat by just how incredibly cheap it is, although i know red ones generally are. nice to see its reasonable quality, would've expected the rings to affect the dot strength but if its still quite strong its well worth the price. can it take an 18650 lithium battery? Im gonna have a few spares soon, and it'll likely take ages after the red laser gets here for the batteries to arrive.
