me and Jonathon talked a little about getting a variance and whatnot(I had just bought a RGV PJ off him). there was supposed to be a legalities "class" but we were all a little distracted by everything going on. This place was busting at the seems with light.. litterally. When we were outside for a sec you could see all the seams in the building… It was a pretty old building.

Attendance. due to the nature of these events kinda require them to be small. And mot 'open to the public' no insurance etc- BUT I say- two or more laserists w/ laser PJ, music & fog makes a good first LEM.

Too awesome, Jeff! I searched NELEM, and only 3 threads had posts about the possibility... I want to start a thread about trying to get one going, but I don't want to be pissing the mods off. :/ I would help pay for the event and more!

The LPF Mods have nothing to do with LEMs- I did meet Sir Daguin at SELEM tho..

Many first time LEMs are paid for by one or a few.
& you make the rules- but lawsuits sxare me along with the need to do all things laser-in a safe manner--

At SELEM 2014 ILDA did a presenation and handhelds and aircraft were discussed=
like-- a TRUE 5 mW 532 w/1 mrad- MUST be more than 53 feet away to be within the MPE!!!

I am soon going to reprint an article from 'Photonics' a trade mag .
Well written and fairly accurate IMO.
