Nova Lasers Price Drops!

For the record: I do not represent or speak on behalf of either LG or Nova. The views presented below are my own.


I can't go into the specific details of the relationship between the two companies, and I can't start asking them to cherry-pick lasers for forum members. One request leads to a handful of requests, which leads to everyone asking for a cherry-picked laser, at which point there is no such thing.

Again, I don't speak on behalf of either company, but from what I have seen, rest assured that nobody is being cheated. Both companies only ship lasers that meet or exceed specifications. The 388mW Endeavour was a freak of nature, we likely won't see another one.

If you purchase a 250, you'll get something between 250 and 275. They're pulled out of stock at random, we don't sell the highest powered ones first or anything like that. If you purchase a 275, you get something 275 or more. If there was a 250 that was doing 300, it wouldn't be a 250, it would be a 275.

As much as I love this community (and I do, I spend quite some time here every day), I can't start doing favors. It would quickly snowball out of control. If you want a cherry-picked unit, or a discount, or just information on what's in stock, call or e-mail the sales department. That's what they're there for! They can cherry pick a laser for you if you ask.
 





So while I don't really need it, I decided to jump in and get one of these clearance sale Lasers to try out.

I received it from Nova yesterday, and while the Laser appears to be in full spec of its rated power output as stated by Nova. The beam is slightly crooked as reported by a few other posters too, but you'd really have to look for it, as its not that noticeable; close one eye and its easier to tell, or place one of Nova's Premium Lasers next to it and then its easy to see the difference.

The next thing I noticed about the clearance sale laser if there are some scratches on the battery cap end, the Laser body itself appears to be pristine though.

Lastly, the Laser has 3 different serial numbers on it, and they are not even within range of each other, 1 of those serial numbers does match the serial number Nova lists on the box & power test.

I would conject based on this hands-on examine of this laser, that it was most likely a laser that went back to CNI for adjustment/repair or that Nova did that in-house; as none of my other Nova lasers have 3 different serials number on them or even any minor issue with the beam.

For the money spent the laser is worth that, However had I paid their premium price for a premium QA'd product, this Laser would already be in the hands of USPS this morning, en-route back to Nova for a refund and that would be the end of that.

Again, I'm not saying its not a good Laser, rather it is; its not though worth their premium price and was sold through a clearance sale which I feel is very appropriate.

For grins I had a couple of friends look at the Laser and try it out under my supervision, both were very impressed with the Laser and were awed with the looks and feel of it. I then showed them the 3 different serial numbers and compared it against my other Nova premium lasers, only then did it become obvious of why I got such a good deal on it.

To sum up I would say yes it is a very good deal and I would recommend theses to anyone w/o reservation at this price point and that is the key to these.
 
Electron - all I can say is KARMA IS A BITCH ! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!! WHERE were the "Three serial numbers" you state were on the laser ? What type of laser did you get ? (still laughing my ass off ! Maybe you should have confiscated your own laser !)
 
I received I defective 200mW endeavor unit, dirty lens and does not output rated amount... It might do one brief sec at the rated anount but quickly dims WAY down...So far pretty disappointing...
 
Actually has nothing to do with so called "karma", rather its called a SALE; Lasers that are on Clearance Sale for a reason, and as pointed out by other posts on here that you like to pretend don't exist, the laser is about what I expected as a clearance item.

I dont get it. How many times do you have to say "My laser is a premium laser, and your clearance laser is sub-par"? Does it make you feel better that you have a better laser? Or do you like to brag, and put down everyone that got a deal? I do see you wrote it was good for the money, but you keep sticking in thats yours is premium. You cant compare the two because you paid full price, and the others are discounted. How about some pictures, and a full review? This time not mentioning that you have a premium laser, or comparing the clearance laser with your premium. If I hear anymore about your premium laser I'm going to puke. :barf:
 
Okay, this is just getting out of hand now.

With all this controversy, you're all forgetting the main reason to buy one of these fine lasers. To enjoy it.

I don't care if my laser is labeled "clearance" or "premium" on this forum. It's absolutely, 100%, prime in my eyes.

Dunno where you got the idea about either a scoot, or diapers from, but I am WAY further away from grade school than you are - so This is all I say about it. Why don't you answer the questions you were presented with - or you cannot think up lies fast enough to post them ? What kind of clearance laser did you buy ? How come, if you work for the customs department (mr top secret spy dude person) you didn't confiscate your own laser ? Oh WAIT A MINUTE ! Never mind - I forgot, all are lies that come from you, regardless of topic, ( UNLESS you are saying how great I am, then you tell the truth :) ) and the truth is, there IS no laser, there IS no "three different serial numbers" {WTF ??} Etc.....just like there is no job with customs, Mr. "Premium hand picked bullshit artist" . Stay on topic, loser - the ONLY shit for diapers is coming from YOUR MOUTH ! There IS no shit from Nova, get over yourself - you really are NOT that important to ANYONE. (except yourself)

As far as Karma is concerned - once you look up the definition, then you might understand better. And thanks for noticing, Karma IS good to me :)

Sorry to hear this, did you contact Nova and if so what did they say? I'm waiting on a reply from Nova on my concerns too.
