;D

Hold crap Jay!!! This is such a nice build I'm finding it hard to think of the words to describe it. The host is totally awesome, everything is put together very very nicely. The quality is perfect, you have to hold one in your hands and see for yourself. I got this in the mail yesterday and my dl viper in the mail on Tuesday and all I've been doing is playing with this pocket mini. The shipping was super fast, didn't you ship this on Monday from CA? I can't believe I got it this fast. Very nice communication via pm's and emails as well.

I actually found this forum after I ordered my dl viper pointer. If I would have found this earlier I would have said screw the dl pointer and just ordered another laser from you Jay....

Outstanding work and attention to detail on your builds. I will definitely buy more from you in the future. If anyone is thinking about buying one of these you will be extremely satisfied.

Thanks Again,

Re: FS: My New 'Pocket Mini' Lasers! - Blu-Ray or

I just finished my red last night and the BR two nights ago. Thanks for finding this great host and making your heat sinks jayrob! I'm still dead set on fitting one of susies 100mW modules in one of these.

Also a quick note/question

Are you not using the red wire off the original circuit board in the brass part of the original housing? Just FYI because I connected the flex on both mine to the +/- on the board and they function properly. I only ask because I see a black wire in one of your pics but not a red. Also you have the pic with the board removed and the black wire is missing. Also although you probably know this, the brass part can be separated from the aluminum using two vise grips (locking pliers) and twisting them apart. I found it easier to do all my soldering and then slide the aluminum housing back over the aixiz module and pressing it and the brass bottom back together and then adding your heat sink.

It would be an even nicer build if you could put a similar lip around the back edge of your heat sink so that it would fit (interference fit) into the bored out aluminum piece with the threads on it. You'd also gain the advantage of not having to worry about the wires twisting and you could screw the whole module in tighter.

Re: FS: My New 'Pocket Mini' Lasers! - Blu-Ray or

Yes, I am using both the red and the black wires... I may have replaced the red wire with a different color wire on that one in the picture...

Must have both positive and negative going to the FlexDrive one way or another...

I very much doubt that you can get a green module inside this tiny host unless it sticks out the front. But maybe me saying that, will encourage you to try even harder! :D

If you do it, please show us how!

It is a high efficiency diode set at 110mW's per your request. It is running at 116mA's. Not a super long wavelength, but longer than most. Very nice!

You will like it. :) Please let me know when you get it...

Re: FS: My New 'Pocket Mini' Lasers! - Blu-Ray or

Greg, it's a beauty! 8-)

Greg Stoner 12-15-08.jpg

It's a very efficient diode putting out 115mW's at only 121mA's. I am sending it with no battery per our agreement.

It will be in Monday's mail. Don't forget to remove the dust cap!
