NMB-MAT 12vdc Brushless PWM Fan Great for Laser Boxes

That might work.

They are in the mail.

Just got 16 of these in the mail today from DTR (thanks for the super fast shipping) and I was pleasantly surprised at how powerful these things are. I pulled one out and hooked it up to my mastech variable power supply, gave it some juice and received a surprising blast of air. They are also very good at handling extra voltage. They're working envelope is 12v at .46 amps but I decided to see how far they could go. I am currently running one at 18v and it seems to be taking it completely in stride. It's been running for 5 hours now and it's going strong. I plan on leaving it on for 12 hours to see what happens.

This is really just a torture test, the fact that it's still running fine after 5 hours is great. I can't wait to implement these fans into my unlimited duty cycle lasers. :D

A little update from my last post. I went to check on the fan that I had running for 12 hours and it was still going fine. So I decided to leave it and see how it would handle 48 hours nonstop running 19V@.4 amps. Well when I checked on it at the 48 hour mark IT WAS STILL RUNNING FINE. These things are great. Considering it can handle 48 hours continuous runtime at 19V I don't foresee having to worry about these things failing while cooling a laser which is always a concern.

EDIT- Does anyone know where to find a data sheet for these fans? I'm curious to see if they list an estimated life time.

Just saw your edit. I don't see them listed on their website so they may be a custom job for Ca*io.

Hey DTR, I just tried some of these fans and they are amazing. Really powerful for such a small fan. I pushed it all the way to 21V steady and at 22V it blew. Lol, just curious how much power I can push them to.

Wow just saw this. 21V.

Yes, it was drawing near the 450 mA mark at 21V. I don't think many people would really drive these past 12V though, just a fun experiment. :yh:

How much would shipping be if I was to order 18 fans? My postcode is 2190 :)

I don't need fast shipping since I have no use for them ATM
