Nichia 7W NUBM47-A1/NUBM44-V2 450nm???

Hi there,

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction (pun intended). I am trying to find quotes for the 7W NUBM47-A1/NUBM44-V2 450nm 9mm TO-5 laser diode that I believe Nichia Corporation manufactures. I didn't find it on their website (or anywhere other than eBay) and am hoping to find a diode with the same or comparable specifications. Do any of you know where I could get quotes for 1 100 500 1,000 2,000 and 10,000 units? I really appreciate the help!

You can contact Nichia if you want to place a large order but if you only want a few you likely won't get any response or an extremely high price.

There's also a 5w Sharp and the recapped nubm08 however I haven't tested the recapped 08 for longevity myself yet.

You must know what you are doing before hooking these up. A proper CONSTANT CURRENT laser diode driver is required to drive the diode. The diodes must be inserted in to a laser diode module before energizing to dissipate heat.

I can't help you with quantities that high. Nichia doesn't even acknowledge this diodes existence because it was never intended to be sold individually.
