Me and a couple friends went up on a near by Mt. last tonight and about 2600 feet up it was snowing rather lightly so I stopped and we got out and and played with the lasers in the snow and made some pretty cool beam shots if I do say so myself ;) So the lasers are all hand held in these shots. they are 650nm, 589nm, 532nm, 405nm.
check these out and let me know what you think, Enjoy !
First a few still rainbow type shots.

Wow that was a bunch of pic's, I hope you enjoyed looking as much as I enjoyed making em ;)

Those are some awesome pictures! What camera do you use? They show the beams up really well, and not much noise there either :)

I kinda wish I got snow where I live, we are going into winter now but our min temp is only about 9C at best :(

the camera is actuly a cheap HD 1080P made by AIPTEK model HD-DV 1080P
I got it through walmart mail order on line. I act. went through 3 till I got one I was satisfied with and it has been pretty tough little camera/video for a $169.00
With lasers the 405nm looks blue and is red is reduced other than that it dose a good job for it's price. and when taking pictures in normal light it's realy tops ! no Cannon or Nikon but real good color.
it has lots of functions and you can plug in an external camera like a helmet cam, That is the real reason I bought it was for trail riding, then I got into Lasers and the quad is growing moss on it now LOL

I use a Canon Powershot A640 and get some pretty good results with lasers too. It also comes down to how you use the camera I guess. For my pics, since they are mainly of my scanner, I need to use a long exposure otherwise you miss out on some of the display. Long exposures are a great way to show beams! If you wonder why you aren't getting good beam shots with a phone camera, it's probably because you can't do long exposures :)

Here is a pic I did with my point and shoot camera:

This camera has an impressive macro range, it can focus down to 1cm infront of the lense, thus capturing the fog particles in this image :D

Sorry 'bout the jack :)

Nice! really beautiful beam shots

What was the shutter speed you used with the camera?

No Jack, anyone can post a beam shot here that's what it's all about looking at the good stuff ;)

@ Burnsy, I'm tired and going to bed sorry I can't tell you what the shutter speed is it's on auto though.

That's just beautiful. Great job. Could you list the different models?~j

Those are real nice flaminpyro. The snow has turned some good pics, into some extraordinary shots.

That yellow is Amazing!! I want one sooo bad.
Looks like you had fun.. i know i would have.
Very cool pixurs though.

Sweet pics man! Its getting hot over here now, and no close mountains, but some nice fog:eg:
BTW, dont feel bad, I sold my old quad to fund my laser hobby:D

Here, thought this thread could use some 473nm!

very nice beams, the last picture seems, to me, a trip in a wormhole in a sci-fi movie :)

Sure they are: RED my build called "Big RED" puts out only 260mW @ 650nm. Yellow from CNI PGL-III-589-C putting out 125mW peak @ 589nm. Green from Vaisho putting out 565mW when warm ;) @ 532nm.
Purple my build 6x in 3405 host putting out 180mW @ 405nm.
