NEW - ShiningBeam Boost Driver - 445 @ 1W

That circuit isn't a boost circuit, by the way.

Nope, it isn't - If you're planning your first build, stick to drivers that have been tested, or you'll be really frustrated. I've killed more diodes than I can count, trying out new drivers.

This driver I don't recommend. I just test it out, the current is not stable. It just killed my LD.

Hmmm. Thats Weired. I have tested 3 for about 1 month now and they are pretty stable. Actually very stable.

Maybe you got a bad driver or did something to cause your issue.

What is your battery source.?

IMO this is a great driver.:)

I agree with lazeerer. This is proving quite stable in the build I used it for. I've sent the extra I had out to another forum member, and hopefully he will be able to do some testing also.

It's running great for me in an OdicForce waterproof host with a 445. This is great IMO, because that's a remarkably tough host to find a boost for (other than the crappy $15 "not really 1W" O-like drivers). NJG-18s won't fit there, but this guy does, and he's working pretty well for me.

Maybe I got the older version. This driver has several veriation. L2.1, L2.2, L3, and also come with 1,3 or 5 Mode options. I use single 18650 as power source. When I fire it. The LD blink and became very weak. Afterward I use my Power supply to test The LD. It stays weak and went dead.
