These pics were taken a few weeks ago. Here are the photos from my second attempt of photographing a ten frequency rainbow. To start with this time I left the lasers oriented horizontally and added a long mirror across from the lasers and another long one about 20 inches above the table to get a nice triangle pattern. I have done this before but never with this many frequencies. By changing the angle of the mirrors I got some other interesting results. I next removed the table with the mirrors and got a few nice shots of just the beams with really accurate colors. But I had the idea to put the lasers vertical again and set up vertical mirrors spaced apart and got the effect I wanted: breaks in the beams in the mirrors. I really like how some of them look. I tried many different thing in these pics such as adding five small mirrors, changing the angles on the long mirrors, adding five more lasers (405, 460, 520, 589, 650nm) coming out from the mirrors, etc.

After these were taken, I made the vertical ten laser rainbow a five laser rainbow to make the whole set up look uniform with the horizontal five laser rainbow. I have been photographing that set up the past two weeks and they look good also. Enjoy

Wow and thanks Bruce for doing what you do and sharing it.
How can you take the pics with so many different outputs and get them to show up like they are close to the same intensity?

Are the wavelengths then:
405
450
460
505
520
532
589
593.5
638
650

Or is it 473 and not 505?
Sometimes the wavelengths can be tricky when they are next to each other. I know you said 460 and 520 but what are the blues-greens exactly? Think I need to look at me 503 (awaiting the driver to build but can run it off of a power supply) and 473+ together.

Wait. I think it's 405, 460, 473, 505, 520, 532, 589. 593.5, 638, 650 and maybe you are sneaky with an 808 lol

Nobody does rainbows like you, Bruce!
Those rainbows are so nice that I'll bet there is 'pot of gold' at the end! :D

Thanks Pman, Bowtieguy, Encap, Red Cowboy, cyberdoc, Diachi, & Ritchie89

Pete - "Give the man a cigar" a prize every time. Most of the power levels of my lasers are between 30mw and 200mw. There are some tricks, such as taking a ten second exposure and having different lasers on for different times to balance it out
405,460,473,505,520,532,589,593.5,638, and 650nm is correct

That 505nm pocket laser is really cool, it really stands out. I might get me one.

Maybe you could experiment with macro images of beams reflecting through mist from a spray bottle, attempting to get an up close view of the drops of water hopefully with similar results to what you do with crystal balls.

Hi Nutball,
Yes the 505nm is a really nice color and the Sanwu is inexpensive too. I should be adding a 495nm into the mix very shortly.
