Hi, just got my 150mw green from O-like today, they have changed the design of them a little from what they used to be...(see attached pics)

The new style comes with a new switch to bypass (if you need to) I found it easier to remove the switch (4 pin contact) and solder a solid link across the switch to bypass, like in the pic I attached ^-^

I'm sure everyone would have done this already but I just thought I'd point it out :)

Dimensions from old to new style are the same, so they will fit in the same housings, mines currently in a Jayrob build, and it sits nice and snug in the heat-sink :)

Yeah... They look exactly like the DX modules without the threading...
Hopefully performance/quality is the same...
I'm trying to get a 200mW module. I don't want one of these "new" modules.

Me too. But I don't know how much wait I will endure :) So it would be nice to have these new ones tested with a LPM.

Wow, just checked and 200mW ones are back in stock! Look exactly like those from DX. But I guess, we can trust o-like.
EDIT: just ordered one, could be the first one to review :)

WOW!! that is amazing!
I must see a blu-ray beam in these fog!

This kinda sucks. Check out the specs.

The Voltage requirements are now 3.0-3.7v
The older 200mW was rated for 3.7-4.2v Perfect for a 18650 cell or rcr123

I was trying to get more of these, like the one I got a few weeks ago.
I might just pass on this newer one.

Yes this one also looks just like the cheap DX modules

Yes, I noticed that, of course. But what's wrong with lower voltage? I personally only wish the output to be up to spec, as I was going to use this 3.0v LiFePO4 battery from the very beginning. DX has a 18650 version of it as well. Check out the review of CR123 here: DealExtreme Product Forum
BTW, how long your module works from one 18650?

They last a real long time. I have lots of 18650 cells, They are all rated at 2400-2600mAh
A 200mW green module, even if it's close to 200mW. is going to have a lot of pull on it's power source. Look at the specs for the new 200mW module, It wants 1000mA. Most cr123 cell are only going to have about 600-800mAh. And thats if your lucky.
It will work, but it's not going to be as sufficient as having a bigger cell, such as a good 18650.

That flashlight in review I linked to drained 1A at 3.22v for 24 minutes until it dropped into low mode. Looks good to me. Also, I can always have one spare battery in my pocket, just in case. And rather have a smaller host. BTW, I'm getting one from Ehgemus too.

These new 200mw O-Like Modules do indeed look indentical to DealExtremes 200mw modules apart from the spring mod!

Only DX are $46.81 inc free shipping
vs
O-Like $132 + $4 shipping

Left me wondering If we really get value for money at O-Like?
Thinking they're possibly over rated due to there praised customer support!

DX are bount to get cheaper modules due to huge buying power IMHO

Either way the voltage range is not as good as the previous modules at O-Like

I have been in contact with Susie.
She says the older modules are no longer in stock.
If these "DX" type modules are going to be sold, I'd rather get them for $46 at DX.

I too am disappointed... the voltage range on the other modules was much better...
My DX 200 module died when powered with an 18650.
The beam alignment and stability on the other modules was much better too...

Bet there arnt many branded rechargable CR123a 3v batts over 800mAh either

Found an un-branded 3v 1000mAH on EBay but if that was genuine brands like Ultrafire would already be selling them!
