I did not know that. The one from astralist is good and only $75 for up to 2 watts. If you decide you want to read up to 6+ watts, you pay another $75 and get the code to unlock it. I have one and it's a good deal.

I mounted the 505nm 35mw diode I won from Techhood and compared it to the pen and a 532 DPSS pen, the laserlands pen looks like 520nm, but the wider housing 520 I bought 1st looks like a 515nm.

Here's the 520 pen on the left, the 505 diode center and a 532 pen on the right. ( My camera is not all that great. )

The 505 is case positive and it's rated at 6v and 80ma, I have a hand made aluminum case where the battery holder is isolated so I will isolate a LM317 and make a simple linear current regulator for it later, 505nm is pretty cool and not a bad looking dot, no major artifacts, well none that I see ATM, although I am using an acrylic lens.

I really don't think this pen is 510nm it looks like 520nm, but the bigger silver 2 x 16340 unit looks like 515nm. It's not pictured here.

The 505nm dot in the center looks more blue than the other two. Since it is case positive, I'm sure it is around 505nm as I have measured many of these and at low currents they mostly come in under 505nm. I have one that measures 502nm and it is much bluer than my 510nm and other higher WL greens. Eventually these 495nm diodes should be available again and you should think about getting one of them. It is an amazing color. ;)

I finally got mine but unfortunately I don't have a meter or any 520nm or 532nm lasers to compare it to :(

That being said, I still love it. The color is great, reminds me of Luke Skywalker's green lightsaber (minus the whole cutting limbs off) and it's a fun pointer that I can show to friends without worrying about safety glasses.

I would say I am overall satisfied with it :D

I am happy for you, waffaitrager. I would be too if I weren't a wavelength collector and already have a 515nm laser. I would have purchased one IF it was the 510nm laser they claimed it is. I can get all the 515nm I want to build myself. Oh, well.

Here's the larger silver 2 x 16340 housing that looks like 515 and the 505 I got from Techhood.

Yeah, the 505nm one is on the right. What driver did you pair it with? I'm wondering as that diode is case positive.

I omitted the driver just to play with it charging the cells to only 3.5v

I have a housing with an isolated battery holder 3 x 10440's and plan to use a LM317 also mounted with a thermally conductive electric isolator pad and grommet, but for the moment I just used a MX-900 with the spring board spring connected to the diode neg and 2 x 16340's put in neg first so the tail switch connects pos to the case. Both cells were charged to 3.5v so it couldn't hurt it.

I checked the part number and it said 7.5v at 100ma even though the original ad said 6v at 80ma and DTR's test was different still, anyway on the bench top I noticed foldback started around 7.5v and 130ma so as long as my cells are 3.6 each or less it works for testing, it seems to like 7.2v at 100ma but I may set it for 90ma, it's enough to see the beam indoors.

I'm not in any hurry and I may use the linear you mentioned, survival lasers blitz linear, although I bet I could find a Chinese board, I'll take a look at the blitz, the spot and color of this 505 is pretty cool, I switched to a 2 element, small artifact up close but nothing far field but a nice small dot.

I have used the Blitz Linear driver on these four separate times, but it is never a fun experience. They are tiny, which is not a problem at all for me, but the pot tends to stick and it is so small you have to carefully grasp the center conductor wheel with some small forceps to turn it. I use a small pair of dikes to grasp it and carefully turn it that way. I have spent up to three days just trying to turn the pot on those drivers.

I have set all of the ones I did between 200 mA and 270 mA. I have noticed the artifact with any glass lens I've tried, but the acrylics seem to work best. At least in my experience.
