It reminds me of my old mp3 player for some reason, probably because it ended its life wrapped in electrical tape :D

The aluminum box looks nice.
You can use the plastic from a DVD case to cut out for around the screen. Are you going to make holes for the buttons?

It is still here, but it was horrid and the lid got lost
I COULD make you one, but I am not sure you would like my work.

Thanks for the support guys, I have lost the support of the seller of the laserbee (Jerry) ;)

Hey! Much better :)

For some reason the letters on the first enclosure remind me of the P-P-P-Powerbook prank :p!

BTW... rpaloalto had a good idea about using a DVD or CD case as

Oh no...

What happened?

OP - Enclosure is really nice, though the question remains about the button, what are you going to do about them?

Just a suggestion, you can use the GITD dustcaps , don't cut off the center support, and press them against the buttons, hole is 14 mm and can easily be made.

Not sure about the spacing between them though - Jerry, what's the distance between the two centers of nearby buttons?

Should be at least 15 mm....

NVM Jerry, and if you recall it was YOU that started the PM flaming...
"Tis would be wise to forget about the whole thing...wait...how could we do that when to forget about it, we would have to think to forget, then we WOULD be infact still thinking about it.... crap"

And yes that was a good idea Rpaloalto, I will give it a try.

About the buttons, I am not sure that I will have them out at all! There is not really a use for them... I have the light on the setting I want, and to reset the mW reading I can shut it off, wait a few sec and power it back on! :san:

You do not use the buttons?

Ah well, shame, I just though it would be very cool to have three glow-in-the-dark caps as buttons on top of that enclosure.

If you are fine with unplugging, so am I :D It's your meter!

Also, one advice - cut off all unnecessary electrical insulation tape, around the switch and display, the extra is not needed - less is better :)
