New DealExreme 200mW Red Pointer

I have this laser, but I am kind of dissapointed with it. It will not even burn a single match. Why do you think this is happening? I am using the 3.0V batteries, that came with it (fully charged) also the focusing ring does no allow me to focus the dot to a tiny one. Anyone with the same problem?

Are you sure you are focusing it properly? It should look like a large dot on the wall at a distance of 6 feet, and will burn matches (if they are colored black/dark [not plain white or red matches]) at about 1/2 inch distance from the laser aperature. :beer:

We have seen it. That is the same waterproof Red they are selling at o-like. The one I got had a crooked lens inside and a great deal of play (unfixable with teflon) in the focusing head so it was easily knocked out of focus. Poor product IMO.
