You are measuring the current output of the driver in Ampere . The testload is simulating the voltage drop of a laser diode. By measuring the voltage over that 1Ohm resistor you can calculate the current by the Ohm Law.

You need some homework to do. It is not buying all the components and connecting together you have a working laser. You need to know some background info about drivers, batteries and diodes. And how to route the electrical connections.

I am also working on the red laser as well.
it's just the diode is jammed in the housing.

Does anyone know how to pull the diod out of this?
