I got two sets of bucky balls from the local mall. The seller wanted $30 per set. I ended up getting two for that price. Who knew that retailers would be open to haggling? lol
I'm curious why there is such a price discrepency between the diferent brands.

Try to avoid the aliexpress seller. I still haven't got my order after almost a month, and I cannot log in to aliexpress to request a refund. The log in page just keeps refreshing when I press "sign in", and nothing helps. wtf?

I have contacted aliexpress but I doubt they'll be able to fix the problem before sunday (when I can no longer request a refund).

Me neither ... i ordered quite some time ago but contacted the seller... chat worked fine on first try .... he told me to give it some additional days and if it doesn't arrive he will issue a refund ... it's a gamble but it doesn't hurt

For those of you considering buying some magnetic spheres, you should find a seller you like and stick with them because even though they all list their product at 5 millimeters some are 4.75 mm. This will make things difficult if you mix them while you are building something that requires more than one set.

Update: I finally got the magnets. Took ages but at least I did get them.

Good to know, I sent the eBay seller an email yesterday because I haven't received them yet.

How good are they? Are they strong?

Yes, they are excellent, better than I hoped for!

Only downside is that there are no reserve balls, so if you lose one you can no longer complete the cube..

Still no magnets from the AliExpress link...I opened a paypal dispute just in case...

I wonder if these come over in a metal crate and get stuck to the side of the crate due to being magnetic haha...just a thought...

I received the magnets yesterday from the eBay seller. They're freaking great, the coating is excellent, all spheres are the same size, none has chipped. I highly suggest you go with these guys if you're planning to buy a cube.
