Need Suggestions - Cheap Burning Laser

Lol Yep! Ive been posting pics of my new twins any chance I get. So wanting to show them off, and this is the only place I can really do that, none of my friends or coworkers understand or appriciate what I show them.
I love LPF!
I definetly understand that. none of my friends really like lasers, so I just show them off here, and I'll definetly be showin' off my new laser once it gets here from GB9 :D

My neighbor likes my viper alot, and keeps asking to buy it off me, latest offer was $50, didnt bother telling him its a $300 laser:na:
Yeah, the GB's are the best, Glenn puts up alot of his time for this forum. What did you order? Make sure to take lots of pics and make a cool review:D

I will for sure! I ordered the 200mw Spartan style, but without the safety features like twhite got unexpectedly.

The camera gets 'blinded' by the laser because it is so bright, and will distort the image, sometimes it shows a huge dot, sometimes a blurry one, or other effects. Here use this pic as reference, the dots in person are small pinpoints but to the camera it looks like a giant blob of light.

EDIT: The more powerfull the laser, the more the pic will be distored(in close range), notice the blue dot looks smaller than the yellow, that is because the yellow is alot brighter due to power and wavelength.

Oh yeah, that looks nice!

Yeah, I have looked at the spartan before, not a bad looking laser, and it should be overspec somewhat, maybee you'll get lucky like I did with my 473nm! And I imagine the saftey features on it wouldnt be fun, especially the 5sec delay with a momentary switch.
@cist- Thanks:D I LOVE those lasers, the colors are just amazing, the pics dont do them justice at all. BTW I have some more neat pics in my album on my forum page! And some here:http://laserpointerforums.com/f52/review-pgl-iii-c-473nm-589nm-50340.html just incase you didnt come across it yet:D

Not so sure an O-like 100mW is going to burn 'like mad'.

I have a 50mW focusable bluray that burns very well. But IMO, when it comes to red or blu-ray, its better to save up for a hobbyist build, much better quality for the price, and you get alot of options about your power output.

I'm gonna have to try a magnifying glass on my PHR pen.
Sucks not having a LPM. I have this piece of white cardboard
that reacts nicely to 405nm. Thats how i tell the difference. :undecided:

Yeah, I'm hopin' for 250 to 300mw, and I might end up getting a beam expander for it if I can find one. :D

I hear you.If it is really 100mw, it should.Of course "like mad" is hardly an accurate term.It may be more properly applied to a 5watt viasho 532nm.
Are the o-likes low on power in the blurays?

Hello. I don´t want to make new thread about this...

I´d like to buy some lower end burning laser in our country(Middle Europe, Czech rep). Usually for stars, burning matches, fun like this, and maybe some experiments how to use it - burn some signs, and other stuff you cannot do without professional equipment.
It should be powered by AA or AAA, and it should be anywhere between 100-200mw.

I hope you know this products:

Is this usable for me?

Just read the forum.... The green laser and companies section has more than plenty of info on all of this, from where to buy, and what power level will be ideal for you, just search and read and you will end up with a good laser.

O-like has a laser that is within your budget(barely). The new gaitlan green. There is a review of it on this site.I do not have one, nor have I ever seen one.But it may be worth looking at.
I suspect if you read the review section, the answers you need will be there.
Good luck!

First read, then ask. I know, I know guys. I´m glad you want to help me the best way, although it not seems to be for new member.. I really did.

I saw that good reviews about shops and some models of laser pointers, I´d also add some higher price line to get better one, but If I want some good laser, I have to order from foreign country. You know what does that usually mean. Special accounts, problems with warranty. I don´t want to do it like this till it´s necessary.
That was why I asked you, "if you recognize it" to tell me good/bad... Nothing more, nothing less...
Anyway, THX for your patience.

Alright, ask and you shall recieve! The top pic says sky laser, if it is from skylasers than it should be ok, I own an 808nm skylaser pointer that I love!
The second pic of the pen looks like every other cheap crappy underspec pen sold from china that will not be a good laser.
Almost every laser comes from china, even most USA companies also get the base product from china. Alot of china companies sell crap, some sell very high standard lasers, like CNI for ex. It depends where you buy...
