**need help finding laser under $300***

You know. I have been putting off safety glasses for red lasers for THREE YEARS now. But it is a one time purchase, and then I am good to go. I think...it is time.

have you even bought a DMM? I last remember saying you where in need of one.

if you havent then contact lazerbeak. he has one left for free. sent me one that im hooking up to my ophir until my ARGMETER aerrives

Laserbeak is really developing into a good and generous member. So often, I turn around, and he's helping me, or a member, or saving the contest by paying for shipping out of his pocket, etc.

I think he deserves some credit for it.

Oh, hey! I learned a valuable lesson today!

If you're going to use Sodium Hydrochloride to de-anodize your hosts, do NOT leave your parts in for more than just a few minutes!

I learned this the hard way, by being interrupted from my very important work, by a customer walking in the shop, of all things, and I left them in too long.

They were so badly oxidized and pitted, it took me forever to sand them smooth again!

So, yeah...watch what you're doing with powerful stuff like that!

You know, since we were talking safety an all earlier.

LB is really a great member and i agree, he does a ton of stuff that doesnt necessarily get noticed so yes he does deserve some rep (reminds me, need to check if i can re-rep him yet)

I learnt this this hard way as well! Well, at least i leanred to not to do it again. I de-anodized my kryton groove successfully because of that bad experience.

Yeah...I managed to do it to two of my kryton builds! Thankfully, the third one came out fine. At worst, it cost me a few hours of my time and a gram or two of aluminum...which, I am sure is all in my sinuses and lungs.

We have given plenty of help for his 1 post. If and when he comes back we will answer his further questions. I enjoy learning about deanodizing. I was going to use ---- ------ to deanodize my host......shhhh ill post my idea after I try it

So your saying it's a justified thread hijack?

im not saying its justified but was trying to say that the OP hasnt been on the forum since he asked the question. to me that says one of a few things; 1) he doesnt care anymore 2) he already has the answer 3) he already bought a laser 4) he has been too busy to check back
