Very nice got a good one. Got to say those things are so bright I cant visually tell the difference between 1W and 1.5W both are just blindly bright.:)

Hi,
Thank you folks for the great replies very invigorating its great to see people enjoying what we really do with Wavelengths . Oh and LeHap sorry about the type error when it come to that I'm very descriptive about stuff to funny thanks ..
As for beam shots theres nothing better that a dark sky ..... :-))

Congradulations on your 4000th post .... LeHap

Hi. Nice shot but be careful you live in a close area with house very close. i live in a heavy wooded area so no one really sees my beams being emitted . be aware about pointing into the night sky. aircraft that are visual to you can see the beam. Hakzaw posted a really great thread read it it deserves the attention good reading stuff. Have fun but be safe always its a great hobby and its not just about burning stuff or whatever, WL change with different loads on them much more interesting colors are awesome.

The beam from that laser can be seen many miles away. I remember seeing video of a less powerful green that was easily visible from several miles, even when pointed straight up. Remember it's also illegal to even point a laser in the flight path of an aircraft, so be careful, don't attract attention to yourself.

Thank you guys for the advice. I always look for airplanes or anything above before I turn on the laser. I have on my phone one of those flight tracking apps that at least gives you an idea if there is a plane close by (to me close by means a couple of miles away) that I also look at before I turn on the laser. Don't want to shine it in the flight path like Pi R Squared said. I treat my lasers with a lot of respect. I have read and learned a lot from this forum and will keep reading and learning. I'll always be very careful. Again thank you guys for your concern, I really appreciate it. :thanks:

That's a nice looking laser.

FYI, most military flights do not show up on those flight tracking programs. Not even all civilian flights show up on it. Unless a private pilot submits a flight plan, that aircraft won't show up.

I completely understand, I don't trust it 100%, just a little extra precaution. But good point about the military flights.

Hi I'm happy to see your taking all our advice into consideration smart man. lately your aware of all the idiotic people doing wrong things with lasers. That only makes it bad for all the folks here that abide by all the safety rules and regulations. All the wrong doers should be shipped the the Arctic Circle in nothing but Speedos lol !

I completely agree with you. That's becoming a big problem here in Puerto Rico. I haven't heard of another laser hobbyist here in Puerto Rico so if there is one please feel free to contact me. Maybe we can do something here to make people understand the dangers and precautions we have to take with lasers.
