This is my very first post in here. May I presents my 469nm laser which I finished today. The host is nickel alloy with copper heatsink. The materials except the diode were bought from a qualified laser workshop located in China. The diode itself was purchase in ebay. The laser runs 2.45A at 4.7V because I saw many members in here had their drivers set @2.2~2.4A for 462nm 9mm handheld and secondly it I like the color of 473nm so I am pushing hard on this one. It capable to run in underwater from the design and safety features given.:banghead:.

The host can be unscrewed into three parts (The focus ,heatsink & battery chamber and the tailcap)

Specification:
Driver: 2.45A@4.7V
Lens: 2-element lens / G2
Copper Host
Run with 2x18650
Waterproof lens and rings
Output: 1.7W peak 1.6W AVG LPMED

Heres the photos:

Now the Beam, the 445nm become 405nm when 469nm show its glorious beam:

Unlike the 445nm ,This is a wonderful color blue with way more power than 473nm. Never thought to be one of the pround owner of the 470nm "Pretty close". It's the best color laser I own currently, twice as bright my 445nm.

I will probably do another reviews for the rest of my lasers when I have time.

:thanks:

Little Fact: THE PICS WERE TAKEN BY MY SONY ULTRA Z LITERALLY

thats some insane current, but I guess its all worth it for that beautiful blue, great build :) Do tell where you got the diode.

Well yes, the diode was from laserlands. About 20 to 30 of it sold in just few days. So i guess more 462nm build will be coming soon.

That was an awesome build! Very impressive! Do you have a link where someone could buy a host like that? I know they would sell !

Nice build and write-up. Tossed in a very quick one of my 462nm 2.2W in the reviews section but I stink at the pics. Your pics really show the difference well and I'm glad to see you agree that it makes the 445 look more violet or at least I think that is what you were saying. I didn't bother showing the actual build in my write-up because it was just soldering the 2 wires.
Totally confused on the wavelength thing though. Says 462nm but then you keep changing it to 469, 473, 470, and back to 462nm..... kind of confusing.

DTR has the 2W ones in stock by the way;)

Well, The 9mm 462nm diode was driven to insane 2.45A so basically the wavelength would becoming higher than 462nm, somewhere around 467~471nm range but mostly likely 469nm that close to 470nm as I wanted. :p

That is something 2W 5.6mm M462 cannot achieve because it can't handle such current. Even the m462 send out more power than the 9mm's but it pretty much stays at 462~464nm only.

Both of those lasers look awesome! I am jealous.
I'm new here (32yr. old Alaskan)
A question:
Would you take a 2W 445nm or a 1.7W 463nm if all other specs were identical? I can't decide between two JetLaser PL-E pros. The 463nm is a prettier beam, but would it be noticeably different in burn power with .3W less power?

The beautiful color of 463nm for sure ,I don't know which 462nm diode being used for the jetlasers handheld though.

would take a 462nm over the other blues by a wide margin.

maxlaser | ?????????????maxlaser

is the laser pointer sold here the article which you produced?

Yes it is.

It seems that almost all the laser pointer is from China, what's the detailed store name. Hope you will not mind that.
