And MB does some STUPID things safety wise. Yeah, "don't try this at home" and all, but any scientist in any respectable lab would be fired on the spot for doing some of the stupid things they do. I recall Jamie holding a hydrogen tank in one hand, with a rubber hose connected to it in the other, feeding the hydrogen into the open carburetor of a car WHILE IT WAS RUNNING. And then he looked surprised when the hose/hydrogen output CAUGHT ON FIRE and he was suddenly holding a flame thrower that was maybe a second or 2 from becoming a very big explosion.
Even neglecting the shear stupidity it takes to do something like that in the first place, he never even handled the tank properly at all, even if he was going to be using it in a correct manner. Seriously, I do ANY of the stupid things he did, and I get thrown out of the lab for life. The tank is not secured in any way, it could fall over at any time, there is no pressure regulator on the tank output, he's using ELECTRICAL TAPE to hold the hose on, he rolls the tank over there on it's corner instead of using a safe, grounded, secured cart of any kind. The list goes on and on! Here's a video of the beginning of this low point of the show. This only shows the first part of his attempts. Notice at the end he's about to say "let's do this again", and when they do it again, that's when the hose output catches fire, I couldn't find that part of the clip.
