OK well this is my new host, hopefully I will be building a nice BR into this, its the funniest host you will ever see though, take a look.

Its an old 80s phone that i stripped down, sadly I had to use the drill to remove the screws, but its nothing some tape won't fix.

;D I was originally going to use the phone battery to power the laser, but A) I dont know if the battery can hold charge for more than a minute, and B) when I was drilling out the screws I damaged the terminals, but it should still be a fun build

It saves me a few £ on buying a proper box I guess plus it has plenty of space, is very tough and wood look kool as a laser

how do you plan on keeping the diode cool? or do you think there will be enough air around the module to keep the heat down ? (i am assuming that that is made of plastic)

since you have so much room, you might as well mount a red laser and a 5mW green module in there as well. Just a thought
