Super nice one... I thought so often about building a coil gun, but always had some other project running or simply had no time...

Dangerous toy...wont recommend building multistage coilguns comparable to mine. Accidently fired a shot. Could have punched thru my eye or something.

Made in Germany....was muß man noch sagen? ;)
 
Such a dangerous toy, but I think you also had your reasons to build it and know exactly why someone want to build it...^^

When I did a little bit of reading about coil guns I was more afraid of the strong capacitors using in a handheld Build... I dont think an accidental discharge will be so much fun if the housing is conductive. But Im sure most people here are able to not point something dangerous in their face.

But of course you are right, this should be locked far away from children... :P

The charge will kill you. Shortcuts generate a LOUD bang. Just happend. I hate lound noises -__-

Seriously.....I eat like 20 pounds MINIMUM Monday to Friday during summer. And one of those suckers just crossed the wrong table ._. "make my day MELON!"

It gets points for looking like a cool weapon. Lasers ,
cool colors, counter balance..

Not sure if your semi serious claiming its a weapon with
any value . The design is poor or counter productive to
projecting anything from the business end with
a chance of hitting a paper target. It would
likely fall from your hand in an Airsoft game. You would be outmatched with a semi skilled automatic airsoft gun.
Besides the barrel, the lasers hanging off, and cool
pseudo tactical cartoon appearance im not sure if its
even a toy gun. And what was the purpose?
Not that you need one. I assume you had something in mind?
It does look cool though,.If that's your purpose than +1
