My homemade GAUSS RIFLE

5.6 x 16mm punches thru your hand. And its selfmade.
Doubt you can make a more powerful gun.
The arm rest makes it easier to hold, still the weight is higher than I thought.
One of the most powerful coilguns out there. No idea why you think its weak.
 





For a coilgun, its damn powerful. You have to make one...then you can judge. Not kidding. Its damn hard to make a powerful coilgun.
 
Reminds me of a weapon from unreal tournament or so.

For a coil gun that is badass. It looks and shoots great. Now go build a rail gun that small and good looking. Awesome build. +1

A railgun is like a SCRAM jet....only MORE effective under certain circumstances. You need more energy. The rails wont last NEARLY as long as coils. And they might be louder.
 
That is an AWESOME device. Build a robotarm around it with an alarm and you have an effective anti burglar device :)

What is the velocity of the projectile ?

Yup. Railguns are very loud and self desrtucting. That is is to bad because they pack a wallup. I would like to see some pictures of your gun it is badass looking. You put alot of work in it.:beer:

200 hours or more.

Railguns are not loud when they are working perfectly :) believe it or not.
Some cheaters use pressured air injectors.

Theres a video on utube. Projectile with copper brushes...no sound, no flame, pure magnetic force. Loud and bright = inefficient.

Thanks for the info I did not know that. All the videos I have seen made me think so.
