My Furst Custom laser 7W+ NUBM0E

I hope you do realize that you run a very good risk of being caught by the auth. I do not know where you live, but nowadays it's easy to triangulate your position.
What does it mean that I will be caught by the author? Something I can't understand what is written.

My LPM test with fully charged batteries.
NUBM0E diode
Driver 5V+ and 5.5~6A
without lenses 7.7W 💥💥💥
With 3 Element lens 6.2W💥💥💥
With lens G8 6.9W💥💥💥

This Peltier meter under $ 5 turned out to be almost 100% accurate.👍

I will soon start a new project to assemble this old laser of mine, which is damaged. I will use its massive body, but in the front part I will adjust a large radiator, because I plan to install a NUBM44 diode with a 5.5 ~ 6A driver and it will emit a lot of heat.

Hello. I did a power test with Peltier at different laser start temperatures. At room temperature 20-23C and for 10 minutes in the refrigerator. After the stay the power increase is over 1-1.2W.
At room temperature 20-23 degrees with a G2 lens power is 6.6W

Hello. Yesterday I received a NUBM0E laser diode without a protective housing. I mounted it on my modifier driver with 6A and it showed great power! Compared to the protective glass version. The power is much greater. In all my tests, it instantly breaks wood, paper and other things. With my meter it showed almost 4W more power! I can't say if it's accurate, but I see tremendous power. I have never seen one like this. I am very impressed!

Will your host seal the diode from contact with air? These 445-455nm diodes seem to die very quickly when de-canned. My current understanding is the light right at the facet of the diode is intense enough to break down CO2 in the air leaving carbon on the facet, which absorbs light and gets hot which degrades the facet ruining the diode after only a very few hours of operation.

I have an acquaintance who makes lasers and sells them and said that for years he has only used laser diodes without protection. He has not had a single complaint from customers during these years. So your statement may be true in theory, but in reality these diodes have a very long life as long as they do not overheat and do not change the lenses constantly, because this will allow foreign particles to get inside

I have destroyed many GBall diodes by running them without the can, once the facets protective coating gets damaged, moisture from the air can get in and cause fractures, many people here have seen the lifespan is greatly reduced when the window can with backfill is removed.

If you only use it for a few minutes a day it could be months before you notice half your output is gone, but instead of a 20,000 hour lifespan you may only get 20 hours if that much.

If you want to use the NUBM0E then get one that's been re-canned and gas filled.......or you will have greatly reduced lifespan.

Well canned ones often give defects. My glass shattered. Probably dust. I tried to fix it, but I damaged it. That is why I say that they also cause problems. There are also many more cases of broken glass on a canned diode

You can run it de-canned if you want to, I have many times, just know that one day it will quit or become very weak and as damage builds up it can make more waste heat and less light, but go ahead and enjoy it anyway while it's working well, you will decide in time if you prefer the longevity of the window canned diodes.

Still, we'll see how long he spends with me. This is still a laser showed and will not be used for work or anything like that. I rarely play with the lazars. It's just a pleasure to put them together

I forgot to ask if sealing the lens with silicone will it have a good effect on the laser diode

I recorded a video of directly igniting cardboard at a distance of 2 meters with 3 Element lens. I can't really say how many watts it is, but on my device at 6A with a 3 Element lens it shows over 9W of power. Nothing to do with my other laser, which has the same modified driver and sealed NUBM0E laser diode. It at room temperature with a lens 3 Elements shows about 5W, and that under the same conditions shows 9.5W.
Lens 3 Element and 9W
Lens G8 10W+
