I bought this Diode from Jordan weeks ago and finally decided to build it.
NUGM03 525nm
1.8A
Expected PWR 800mw
Actually power. 1047mw and still climbing. DTR 2E lens I believe.
Pretty happy with this thing.
safe To say this is a 1.1W laser.
It flickers every now and then,( cut out) then fire right back up soon as I tap the switch. I can’t figure out what it is because I took it apart and looked for broken connections or possible shorts and didn’t see any. Driver seems fine because I tested it using a Cree XPL continuously with no problems.
I may try to replace the switch, these switches for the C6 aren’t the highest quality.

Congrats on the new 1+ watt green build, Richie. My guess would be the switch too. If you short it out that may give you the proof you are looking for.

Hi,
There nothing like the big green monster , bright and beautiful . Ohi see you have a Argentum LPM I purchased on a long time ago and it sat until I found this. Its a 3D printed housing for it. And let me tell you its great . Theres a guy on eBay that makes them and he makes the housings for the two types of buttons for them. One had the short buttons and the other had the tall buttons. Mine has the short ones. Check it out and you won't need that plastic bag anymore .

thanks Paul! that's a great idea, I think ill try that. I also noticed that their was an awful lot of grime from the threads meshing together. I wiped it on a rag and the rag was nearly black. I wiped it clean and regreased the threads. I wonder if that could be the problem.

that's something I really need! I don't like it just being out in the open like that. I also noticed that Jordan had a nice set up as well, speaking of our LPMs, is the guy that still around? the one that made them? I totally forgot his name.
Congrats man. A worthwhile addition to the collection I'm sure.

Also, the anti-static bag Hyperion lol
thanks :) yeah I noticed someone else a long time ago leave it in the bag, so I figured that was a good idea because the exposed board lol!

Now the real irony would be to make a laser cut enclosure for it 🤣

The guy who made those meters has the user name astralist, Richie. His real name is Pradipta. Haven't seen him post in awhile, though.

It does sound like a grest option for Hyperion owners. Can he make it in other colors? Say black? Do you know if he's willing to share the files?

Hi,
he color is light grey and to me its fine ,I dont know about him making other colors. And as for file sharing if it were me and I was in it for a small profit no. Many hours of putting it all together with measurements to get a prefect fit again no I really dont think so.
All I all its a great idea to protect the LPM and it has a cover for the thermopile when not in use.

Hi Richie
The LPM housing isn't made by the originator of the Argentum. He is on eBay I sent him measurements because there were two variations if the Argentum , One had long buttons and one had short buttons. So I worked with him in getting it figured out. After I received mine it fit like a glove . You just need to tell him the button size its a really nice addition to protect the Argentum .

noted! you know how much he charges? and I actually have a question about my meter and most others I imagine. ive had it for 3 years and usually only test stuff under 2 watts, usually less than 1 most of the time, I also don't test laser all that often, only when I construct one. do they ever need to be recalibrated? if so how often and how can I do this on my hyperion? thanks rich :)

Astralist! that's right. I remember now, so he doesn't make those meters anymore?
