EDIT: The dimensions:

4 x 1.7 inches

A little bigger than a dorcy jr.
 
I have a suggestion:

It would look better if you round off the end that connects to the thing where the lens is.

Should be 0.7 inches.

Your probably right but I don't have enough material to round it off and at least this way it won't roll off the table. ;D
 
I think he meant only rounding off the top of the barrel in a cone profile

I read your post backwards yes that part will be filed down, i'm just posting pics of my work in progress, this is nowhere near finished.
 
Just finished the switch, that was a royal pain. had no idea how to attach the button to the small plastic shaft of the switch, ended up molding a piece of plastic and gluing the button to that.

Now I need to figure out how to fit my low voltage indicator lamp somewhere, I think I better wait for my driver and sled to get here.
