My Bad experience on USPS

well im calling my relative who works on the sacramento governmnet he is the Best lawyer in town. i will not tolerate this thing. Even though its a small dollar, yet the time i spent waiting can't be replaced. I will just ask scopeguy to keep his copy of the PO so i can sue USPS for them to have a wake up call. I just read a Law regarding the US Postal and its services. So I will call their attention..

FYI.. here in the philippines i work as a Military Research Team, so i got access to our customs and post office, they know that if they steal my letters they will get investigated.. But i called the central post office they said No letter or packaged had arrived. I even talked to the Director In-charge

Holly Sh#t... You must have then shaking in their boots........
as if they gave a crap about you ...

You have no more power to modify a government institution as
I have being a Canadian citizen to change a law in China...

I understand that you are frustrated... but beating your chest will
not speed up the process... and it surely doesn't impress me...

"Patients... grasshopper"... something is bound to show up once
your country's postal system wakes up...

I've has the same problems shipping to Begium and Spain and Italy
if I don't spend the Big Bucks for Shipping...Tracking and Insurance.

Yeah... I know... reality sucks...............

Re: My good experience on USPS

Dont know about out of the country but In the USA my number one choice is USPS

I can ship a flashlight sized package anywhere in the US with tracking for 4.95 and most arrive in two to three days. I just shipped a package from Indiana to California Put it in my mailbox on Saturday morning and It arrive in California on Monday morning. I always use priority mail the boxes are free at the post office and I can make my own postage on Paypal at home.
I shipped hundreds of packages thru ebay USPS priority mail and have never had one problem. Occasional a few will get misrouted but they always arrive at the destination a few days later.

Saturday delivery is free and on priority mail tracking is very good.

Regards

We are talking International Shipping... not Domestic..

I have no problems shipping to Canada (My own country) but when it leaves
Canada the problems start (sometimes)

Well, you don't have to ship outside the US to have problems...just today I got a package (well, what was left of it) in the mail that was supposed to have contained two books on lasers - and guess what? All I got was a mangled plastic shipping bag with "missing/damaged contents" stamped on it by the P.O, which was enclosed in a plastic baggie by the P.O. with something to the effect of "sorry your stuff is missing/damaged..."?!?!?!

Nice, real nice - some a-hole at the P.O either stole my books or one of their sorting machines ate them! I expect the seller (I bought the books thru Half.com) will refund me, but dammit I wanted the books!

Oh, and yes UPS can beat the crap out of stuff - I sent some items to a customer not long ago and the guy called me up complaining the next day! If you ship with them, be sure you pack really, really well - just assume your box will be dropped from a 2-story building and plan accordingly!

Maybe usps hits every 5th package with a hammer and takes the content of every 10th. :P

Same thing happened to me, but with a computer game (disc). It was in a bubbleope packed with cardboard, but when it arrived at my door, it had a huge chunk missing from it, and the plastic bag.

I had the same problem with UPS, I shipped out a rare video game disc, and it got cracked. However UPS replaced the cost of it. The only thing I don't like about UPS though is how shipping across the country takes forever. I live in Florida, and something from Arizona takes like 5 days to get here.

well what can i say, maybe u just got bad luck, like me i dont have any problem with usps, so maybe next if you pay more like an express or next day, it will be alot better, but also more expevsive lol

lol my relative was able to trace the package, according to USPS, the package was shipped accidentally to THAILAND, we called the THAI EMS and now the package is on its way here in the Philippines and i paid 10$ for the insurrance of it..

2 days before it arrives here in my place..

basic ground takes 3 to 5 days with UPS. Try doing that with USPS

How can you mix up Thailand and the Philippines?

Anyway I am glad to hear it worked out and you will get your stuff! Being persistent obviously pays off :)

I make jewelry, I sent a FedEx package to New York to Howie Glatter, (he is a laser guy known to astronomers), the earrings were in a box and padded well and put into another FedEx box, the outer and inner box arrived with holes punched in the outer box, the earring box had lid broken off and the ear post of one was bent! :yabbem: I was lucky, Howie said he could straighten it out and was not holding me to blaim. But I avoid FedEx and UPS when I can. I see a lot of damage on FedEx boxes fron CNI and I know UPS is even worse. I see lots of wear and tear on my shipments by DHL too. USPS has lost 3 packages in less than 250. Now I insure almost all USPS packages, at least these, when they arrive, rarely look worn or beaten up! So far, I can't recommend any shipper! -Glenn
