Acetone is a strong solvent, so it can cause some materials to dissolve.

Purity for cleaning should be >99%.

I have cleaned and inspected many glass lenses without seeing any white residue.

I'm hearing that Isopropal is now being used to make Meth. Drug bastards are causing us problems getting simple solvents now.
