Are you truly an engineer with a BS or higher in a specific engineering discipline? It doesn't sound like it to me. This is the stupidest Idea I've seen in awhile.

Same, this is one of the dumbest things I've seen since Obama.

I am currently working for an engineering company

...a mobile tank tread base that patrols farms and kills weeds and pests with the laser.

What company? I just want to know who to sue when they start random brush fires around the local fields.

And i'll look into fire suppressant options.

When someone says "having an unmanned flamethrower around dry vegetation is a bad idea", your first thought is "That's right, when the fire starts, I should have an extinguisher nearby"? Maybe back up a step and re-evaluate your choices here.

Sometimes I think some computer geek also interested in lasers has set up a program to hack old accounts and is just yanking our chain.

Or more likely, Hanlon's razor.

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity"
