Mitsubishi-G84-638nm-2500mW-Laser-Diode

^ I am interested...I've been considering getting one of these to play with for a while now.

Or just post where you are getting them from?

what do you mean? lol you said you found a source, am I missing something here? I am not getting them from anyone or are you saying you can just post where you are getting them from.

Oops, I looked at my thread and they were $129 at that time also not 150. Still, who D man? You know who;)

It would be cool to make a cane top or septer with cobra head that spits out this forked beam. Would make a nice movie prop

I need to do some research on this diode, for I have soo many questions! It came out quick and priced dropped quick! This might need to be my next build. If this drop is linear I could get this diode for cheap.. Prolly wont happen though.
I love they way it looks through a beam expander!

noobphase? why wouldnt you want a double beam? Thats part of the badassery! I would love to CAREFULLY try some diffraction grating with that!

Hmm I'm interested to see if you bybass one die off by removing the wire to that. So you will have a 1.3W+ rated 635nm diode, but no double beam shenanigans... No one is going to risk their $130 diode though :D

Its one die with two emission sections , removing bond wires will have no affect on this , just increase current seen by the other bond wires .
