I resent South Park for that reason. It made my High School social experience just awful. I finally one day beat the hell out of this one douche and suddenly the word ginger was never used in my presence again ;)

I kind of miss Lee (Timelord). He used to be an LPF moderator and was known for posting that "pink" picture all the time.

Timelord was demoted (along with the other moderators) in late 2007 due to legal reasons, and he was later banned from LPF following various conflicts with Avery.

All of the banned users were given a "second change" when the forum software was changed from YaBB to vBulletin, but Timelord has not returned since, and his LPF account seems to have been deleted. He's happily posting at Laser Enthusiast, though.
 
I know some of the 'Bannished Ones' lurk here-- they make snide remarks all the time that indicates that else where on the webz. Some are downright nasty about LPF. anyone wanting to post on PL, et al would be wise to never mention LPF or handhelds,mods, rep or postcount- might even consider a different username. Keep your posts about projectors and labbies, galvos and scanners you will get treated fine and receive a lot of help. If not, expect flaming and threadjacking from a very few. There are some who will come to your rescue but it is wiser to just 'not go there' with those topics.

The worst thing you could do, IMHO, is go to another laser forum and ask why the beef with LPF.. unless you are a pot -stirring troll. Counter productive and not good for the laser community. save the drama fo yo mamma.

There a few members here who just dont like to post-- been here for years- read a lot-- PM others but no threads- rarely a post. just shy I guess ( ahem! zimm)
and if you look at the rooster there are a ton of names with zero posts-- did we scare them off?. Did they join on a friend's PC and then never get their own?-- or they lose thier friend?? were they kidnapped, tied up, carried away and held for ransome..? did they join the Hari Krishnas?. abducted by aliens or bodysnatchers ???maybe in Jail or Prison or a mental institution.??did they fall intothe time tunnel hole? enter the Twilight Zone , go one step beyond, travel into the Outer Limits??

Or ALL OF THE ABOVE!!!!

He's probably in school.

Mark liked lasers, but hated WL with a passion. So bad it would make him angry. Then the Arctic hit, and I think that was the last straw for him. He might be back after the Arctic shadow is gone. Maybe not.

It's died down quite a bit but probably not enough for him to handle.
Hatred at that level can be dangerous.
 
I talked to Mark a lot, and it seemed the more he stayed here, the more pissed off he got. I tried to give him the 'its only the internet' speech, but I dont think he bought it. He was taking it all personally.
 
I want to report bill519 , he's last seen online 29th of last month, which is little more than 3 weeks from now.

He's known to have a lot of internet issues, however longest they messed up his internet connection was 1 week IIRC.

It's unusual for him to be absent that long.
