Medical Condition Update Thread For LPF Members

My sleep study 12 years ago saved my life- I was falling alseep while driving =on the study I was waking up myself 30 times per hour- after week getting used to the CPAP
I was cured. as long as I use it I sleep well= and no longer are able to snore- wish my dad had used a CPAP= it was the family joke to talk about his snoring little did we know then how bad sleep apnea can be. He did live to be 94 tho--
 





well i start a long list of appints coming up this week not going be fun but I will keep updating every monday
 
Hey LPF:

I go in for my neuro appoint next week. Hope they can figure out what happen to me and figure out a way to fix me.. I have a few things to say other than just letting you know that. I only been a member for a short while and I have seen the generosity of this forum. Members helping members that are strangers but never the less helping some one out when there is a need. I have made some really strong friendships and that is one cool thing about lpf. I want to thank all the members that have helped my family and supported me through this tough time in my life currently going on. I will update went i get back from the neurologist
 
I am going to see the Neurologist tomorrow! I will let every one that is subscribed to this thread what he or she said and what is going to happen from this point onward!
 
I went to the Neurologist on Thursday and He told me nothing new! I am kind pissed! called it symptoms of my migraines! WTF I am so frigging tired of these Fing doctors not trying to figure what is wrong with me! They just guess and say I dont Know~ He upped my Gabapentin thinking that may help. And wanted to get a MRI of my spine! I just so frustrated and pissed off, tired and upset! on top of that I may end up losing the place I live in do to my Mom and Dad getting behind on the taxes! My dad is 68 still working, he has prostrate cancer and galcoma. They are trying to work and just having little luck at it. My dad is a teacher but all the schools he has worked for always in up kicking him in the B@lls! Mom is a substitute during the school year buts its hard! so we working on trying to get the back taxes which are just last years paid! We would help but with me out work and my unemployment just enough to pay the rent and our bills there is just not enough left to send them any more! I am NOT Asking for donations just explaining were we are and why my stress level is through the roof! on top of all of that we have Bad storm system come through on Wednesday night thursday early morning like three am! well a lighting strike hit my power meter and took out my internet box. The surge from that killed my wife's computer, printer, both routers, my xbox and tv. it went through the Cat 5 e cable or ethernet cable and that was just friggin the next thing and the last straw that broke the camels back was my three month old lawn mower is broke! I am sorry guys and gals but I had to vent!

P.S. The reason I can get on is that the PUD or public utility district the one that provides my power and internet came and fixed my power meter and Fiber Gateway. I had a set of old routers that we hooked up and it is providing my wireless atm. My computer which is lap top was not affected! Thank god. Any way if you want to get a hold of me I will be on Skype all day and will check my pms at around six pm Pacific Standard Time. My Skype name is in my sig if you want to talk to me. Hey Vortish sorry for all the bad luck. I own a lawn service business and hearing a 3 month old lawn mower broke got my attention. I have 2 mechanics around basically everyday and I know a bit myself being in the field for over 20 years and would like to help if I can. What happened and what is it doing or not doing? I'm hoping we might be able to help you with at least some of your bad luck you've been having. Make and model of machine?

the pull rope is stuck. I have to take it to a authorized repair center but the offer of advice
 
Stuck is probably all it is. I've had pull cords do it many times. If the cord is all the way out it probably is stuck with the pucks expanded all the way. Try tapping on it while lightly pulling it, a lot of the time will free them and get them to retract again. If I lived closer I'd fix that for you. If your sure the pull cord is destroyed replacing it or the guts is not a hard job.
Good luck and I sure hope you get some positive news soon on your medical condition as that is most important.
 
I have to wish that some good luck comes your way after the lightning on top of everything else.

Am amazed that the now group of MDs can't come up with something----a root cause real diagnosis. It can't be that you have a condition nobody on earth has ever had before and doctors have not seen, can it?

From what you say it would seem to be neurological--everything else looks good so far. Has any possible chemical imbalance been ruled out?

I hope they find a cause, soon. If not maybe your primariy MD can send you and the results of testing by other specialists to a speciality hospital or a place where they have more experrience with uncommon conditions to get it sorted out. Perhaps whatever is going on with you requires a higher level of medical care and practice than is available in your area.

Keep us updated and good luck with finding an answer---am sure there has to be one.

Well the sleep study was a real pain in my a$$. Hooked me up to a ton of wires and had to wear that silly mask and had the nurse waking me up every twenty minutes to fiddle with some thing one me so I did not get to sleep very much which mad me very cranky! have another test on friday called a EmG for testing my nerve connections oh well I am thinking of starting the disablity process because I doubt that I will be able to over come this and go back to work
