maximum distance balloon pop?

What's the maximum distance you've popped a balloon at with a 405nm laser? I only have a 6x diode running here.

In this thread i did a 30 feet balloon pop with a 12x at 493mW. At 30 feet it pops the balloon almost instant.

It's not a violet laser, and only one balloon, but it is long distance...

The balloon pop is near the end of this one. It pops before the laser even warms up!




It's the >800mW peak PGL 532nm that I sold a few weeks ago.

I can pop a balloon with my phr803 laser at around 10ft. I have never tried a longer distance.

I popped one from 30ft almost instantly with a 757mW 405nm. The baloon popped as soon as the laser dot hit it. I'm going to try from further distances once the weather gets better outside.
