Hey guys !
Actually i am trying to make a cheap laser ( capable of burning some small stuff ) . So i am planning to use LPC-826 twin :
Wavelength: 660nm
Output Power CW: 200mW ave. 400mW max.
Output Power Pulse: 350mW target duty 35%
Operating Current: <340mA
Threshold Current: 75-85mA
Slope Efficiency: 0.97 mW/mA
Operating Voltage: 2.2-3.0V
Maximum Operating Temperature: 75°C
Package: TO18 Open (5.6mm)
Working Life: >10,000 hrs at 50% Max. Power

But i am not sure about the drivers and housing.
Can anyone one suggest something please.
thank you

I really like the lpc826, i ran mine at 550ma's and it was a good burner and suprisingly bright. I killed it trying to get it to 700ma. Not sure what you mean by housing, either host or module? I've been using some drivers from existotem, an eBay Chinese seller. They are a little big (they won't fit in the back half of a module) but am able to use them in a s4 host from survival laser by modifying the driver pill a bit. They adjust smoothly and I haven't had any problems with them. Can't link on this phone but just type this # into an eBay search engine: 231587057539
They are $4 each

What do you mean by LPC-826 "twin". You can use a cheap AixiZ driver set to max with (2) 3.7V lithium batteries ( which fully charge to 4.2V each ) and get about 250mW from one. You will need a different setup to get more out of one. You need to use the search function and look up builds with that diode.

@VirtueViolater
actually by housing i mean to say module by which i can focus it to create a straight beam of light and driver to make it last longer . And for heat i am using a cheap mini heat dispenser available at ebay. The thing is that i am working on a 3 pointer gun . And will use cooling fan wich will manage the cooling part but i am stuck at driver and module .
i searched which you suggested and found this.

and in same store found this diode i am pretty much sure that this will work..

the main problem is driver and module. I have a presentation next month for which i need it to run 2days ( not constantly ). Do you have any suggestions?

Just search for "Aixiz". They even have a ebay store. they'll have modules, lenses, and drivers.

Need to be correct because i have 5 of them lying around but not making a beam.

Hi,
Make sure your pin out is correct with the LCP-826 Top pin Pos+/ Right pin Case / Bottom Neg-
Use the top pin and the case pin Neg- not used ... If i am correct Search for LCP-826 diode pin out it will show you how to connect the correct driver

Rich:)

Hi Sajal,
If you will type this into an eBay search engine, almost everything you need will show up. "Laser diode module"
You can purchase a ready to lase module with lens. Just hook it up to proper voltage and your lasing
Danny

Edit: Hi Sajal type this # into an eBay search engine: 252127850985
This is a ready to go module, there are many more to choose from

Hi Danny,
thanks for the reply. As i said i found driver and diode both on the seller you recommended . The only thing is module and i am totally blank in this case . No idea at all . I have to make a straight beam . Do you have any suggestions .
thank you
sajal

If you haven't ordered the separate diode and driver the module I posted is the best option. You can order 10 diode modules with lenses here #331706722431
Sorry, input wrong #, it's good now
