What current should I run the lpc-815 diode at?

Was it a long open can diode? Unless you got a different diode, something other than the 350mA killed it.

if it didnt light up/lase you probably didnt discharge the cap..

I swear to u, it was a loc diode from the LPc-815 sled.
I don't believe that I made a mistake, but things can happen, I guess.
Oh well, I will buy another one and give it a try again.
