For precision mounts that.s a steal. For just messing around and doing beam shots I would make my own mounts provided I already had the FS mirrors. I use my helping hand to hold mirrors and optics when I take pictures. Or you can just go through the house. Tape a mirror to a popsicle stick and then to the side of a book or something. Done.

Edit: If you don't have any FS mirrors shop around. But in case you are lazy here ya go. :) Optotronics FS mirror

Go to DTR's site. Buy the projector optics. Each kit costs 9 dollars for 2 sets. Each set comes with 2 FS Mirrors(along with dichros and prisms) so that is 4 FS mirrors plus lots of goodies :)

K thx guys i will check those links out, but wannaburnstuff, could u send me a link to DTR's site? Becuase ive never heard of it, im still new to lasers :D

Search "DTR's Laser Site" on google. I am at the ER right now so I cannot make links easily. It is pretty easy to find though.

No problem :) just got home so I came back to check this thread but I see you managed it on your own :)

Hey im pretty new to laser but im wondering if there is any cheap mounted optics kits or mirror kits, because i have done a little looking around and found this site:
Meredith Instruments : Mounted Optics Assortment [AST-MOK-10] - $39.00 - The source for laser surplus

but that is a bit out of the price i was thinking of paying, anyone have any thoughts of what i could do?
Im mainly going to be using them for beam shots or just experimenting with what you can do with them.

Try this site too AnchorOptics.com - Supplies affordable, quality commercial grade and experimental grade optics
They have a greater variety of optics. They are own by Edmund Optics.

that site has lots of goodies to check out!!! I will keep browsing, but it looks to me like if you want the cheaper stuff you need to only look at the "Experimental Grade" stuff. Their PBS Cubes are pretty pricey.

ok thx for the link steve001, im still searching around too and i will probably buy one once my laser gets here so i know what im working with.

just bought 2 projectors for DTR so will let you know how they are when the arrive early this week :D

ok thanks because that looked like the best option but i wasnt sure how it was going to work, when it comes could you tell me how easy it is to use and pack/change?

pack/change? you mean take apart? ill post pictures of what i receive and then everything i take out of the projector. i dont think im keeping the projector as it comes since i want to use the optics inside it but yes ill keep everyone informed

There are like 5 screws and the top panel comes out. Most of the lenses and the dichros just slide out. I believe. There is also like a difuser that you can unscrew.

And just so you know livinloud, it is not a projector, just a piece that holds the optics.
